I've taken to creating a journal. So every Sunday (in league time) I'll make an entry in a google doc writing from the perspective of the team's owner. I'll record their record that week, the YTD record, and anything else notable like great performances, injuries, transactions, etc. I guess it's a lot like some of the dynasty reports some people keep on the boards here.

Only problem is sometimes I just don't feel like making the entry and so I'll play out a bunch of games and then I'll have to go back to it. Thankfully with the various reports and logs it's not too difficult to go back and recap. I started it off thinking I could even turn it into a book, but even without doing that it's kind of neat to go through your past week like that.

I read all of the news, check the league leader boards and "who's hot/who's not" on a regular basis, keep eye on the Prospect Pipeline page to see how those guys are doing what level they're playing at, and do a run through of the all of the team pages.

I'm content with taking in a much as I can if it means taking kind of long to complete a season.

I manage every inning of every game for my club. A typical day goes like this.

1. Glance at league schedule, easy to see my game time compared to rivals.

2. Move to score screen, glance over matchups and starting pitchers

3. Play my game, look over box score

4. Go through the score screen. Looking at Pitchers of record, HR hitters, POG, line score (special attention to teams in my division). May open box scores of interesting games.

5. Read my messages. All players mentioned, from all levels, get at least a mouse over to check their popup box, but most I open their player page. Sometimes I find future trade targets this way, but mostly it lets me see individual players from around the league. When drafted, where they are now, how they've progressed, etc.

From here on down is all bookmarked in order..

6. Examine standings, with a glance to the leaders on the sides of the screen

7. Look at the "All transactions" report on the BBN Network page. Read every line and most players get a mouse over here (interesting ones get their page opened for a deeper look). If there are trades I go to the trade screen and examine all players involved.

8. Look at the World Home Page that gives a quick overview of all leagues.

9. Look at waiver wire. Sort and view pitchers and batters. Each position has custom views to help me assess the players.

10. Go to my Scout's screen. Look at recently scouted players and have a filter
to see players from my organization. Of course all other filters I have built are there if I feel the need. I also look at my task list, especially during the time I'm scouting the draft.

11. Prospect pipeline list is next. Usually click through this, but it's interesting and there when I feel like taking the time.

12. Go to my Manager Office page. Customized with things I like to keep up on.

13. Go to my team page. Check fatigue for P's and B's, make sure of upcoming schedule and days off, quick glance at MiL team records and top prospects on the main page. Will dig deeper when there are specific things on my mind.

During the MLB playoffs I will move the Playoff Tree into the bookmark rotation. Usually swap out the World Home Page as those leagues are done playing.

I always go to reports and look at few of them (my favorite is Positional Strength by Position) and I send it/them to Browser. Then in the browser, I got to print, then "save as PDF". Then I text it to myself, so i have it on my phone.

That way, I can check it out when I have downtime and am away from my computer. My brain often keeps going with all the busyness that I have on a daily basis and looking at OOTP reports helps me slow it down and fall asleep
