What are the new features?

The game launches in a few days, but I've yet to see a list of features posted anywhere. I know there's a video, but truthfully, I have no desire to watch a 2 hr long, unedited ad. Anyone who has watched it care to summarize?

I'm hoping the focus this year was more on small quality of life fixes, and patching past features, rather than adding a ton of big shiny new things. Things like the option for a hard cap on the draft relative to your "suggested slot values", a slider/dropdown for AI-to-player trade offer frequency (especially for the sleepy trade deadline!), and new ways to engage with the history of the league.

The don't typically provide a "full list" until the public Beta is out. Largely because they tend to work on the game up until the moment it is released (and beyond) working to get more features/improvements in.

The link posted above highlights the information they have released to this point. They have talked about a few other things in the videos, but I'm not sure if anyone has compiled a list with that information as of yet. However, you will get that information while the pre-sale is still available.

No it doesn't. It doesn't include any the info released in the youtube videos. It's been this way for the last few years, those of use who don't have the time or want to watch the videos get no info.

FHM has went this way too. It's annoying as hell. I don't have the time nor interest to watching hour plus long video to find a 30 snippet of some interesting info.

Well I remember years ago when they announced head to head feature which to this day still isn't in the game.

Perhaps they are learning by their mistakes. Don't announce features that you don't have working.

I have no problem not announcing stuff like that. Or stuff they are still working on. My issue is instead of posting stuff that is done and will be included in next release/update to their official forums, they instead put it in a hour long dynasty video.

The videos were as bad as trying to watch golf. As much as I like and respect Markus, I gave up after 10 minutes. Same with the Beh video.

I just went and scrubbed through the Beh video, there's no gameplay? Is the game not working?

I only spent like a minute scrubbing through, so I could have missed it, but I remember in years past there was a stream where they played the game. I figured that's what this was.

Three videos and not so much as even a screenshot in any of them. I don’t want to watch 2 people talking about new features. I want to see what it is they’re talking about. Gotta say this is probably the most underwhelming Road to Release in recent memory.

yea the HOF video revealed nothing. a museum ...lol. im not sure what there going for here. At this point , i think ill just stick with 24.. the information being hidden from the people buying the game is doing them no favors. no gameplay, no further screenshots.. im puzzled. Most all of these will need serious patching more likely..especially the ratings and lab.

I don't want to speak for the devs here of course but to me (and this was confirmed publicly by Lukas so I don't think I'm speaking out of turn here) the biggest changes I've seen have come under the hood: there was a multi-year effort to fix historical defense and strategy, for example, to make the game more realistic for that period (to the point that, at least according to some of the data, the pBABIP rating no longer applies to very many people at all, at least not that much). I think that was a thing the guys who work on the engine have been putting a lot of time and resources into doing and it should also have the effect of improving play for modern and fictional games as well.

The above isn't sexy and it's not really a thing you're necessarily going to see through screenshots, but I also feel like it's exactly what so many of these people who are like "OOTP should just fix what they have instead of adding on new features" have been wanting. Last year I think adding "hard mode" to trading cut down on a lot of the worst excesses of the AI by not allowing you to add and remove players from a trade and see what the opposing GM thought of them until you set something in stone. Again, not glamorous but exactly the kind of thing people say they really want.

We have pre Com2Us and after Com2Us....that is honestly the state of the game IMO. Hurts to say it because I miss the pre time. (Outside of the Sega time)
