ChatGTP cant explain the recalc options

OOTPB (Out of the Park Baseball) is a baseball management simulation game known for its depth and realism. In OOTPB, player ratings represent various attributes that determine their performance on the field, such as hitting ability, pitching skill, speed, and defensive prowess. These ratings are typically represented on a numerical scale and are used by the game's engine to simulate player actions and outcomes during games and seasons.

The recalculation of ratings in OOTPB typically refers to the process of updating player ratings based on various factors, such as performance, aging, injuries, and changes in player skills or abilities. This recalibration ensures that player ratings remain accurate and reflective of their current abilities within the context of the game world.

Here's how the recalculation of ratings might work in OOTPB:

Performance-Based Updates:

Player ratings may be adjusted based on their performance over time. For example, a hitter who consistently performs well may see an increase in their hitting ratings, while a pitcher who struggles may see a decrease in their pitching ratings.
These adjustments could be applied periodically, such as at the end of each season or at specific intervals within the game.
Aging and Decline:

As players age, their physical abilities may decline, leading to adjustments in their ratings. For example, older players may see decreases in their speed, arm strength, or durability ratings, reflecting the natural effects of aging on athletic performance.
This aging process is often simulated based on historical data and player tendencies, but it can also be influenced by in-game events and random factors.
Injuries and Health:

Player ratings may be affected by injuries or health issues. For example, a player who suffers a serious injury may see decreases in their ratings related to the affected skills, such as pitching accuracy or hitting power.
Injuries can have short-term or long-term effects on player ratings, depending on their severity and duration.
Player Development:

Younger players or prospects may see increases in their ratings over time as they develop and improve their skills. These improvements could be based on factors such as playing time, coaching, and individual player development plans.
Player development can vary widely depending on factors such as talent level, work ethic, and coaching quality.
Scouting and Evaluation:

Scouting reports and player evaluations may influence the recalibration of ratings. For example, if a scout discovers a previously unknown skill or weakness in a player, their ratings may be adjusted accordingly.
Scouting reports can provide valuable insights into player abilities and potential, helping to ensure that ratings accurately reflect player performance.
Overall, the recalculation of ratings in OOTPB is a dynamic process that considers a variety of factors to ensure that player ratings remain accurate and realistic over time. By simulating the ongoing development, aging, and performance of players, OOTPB creates a rich and immersive baseball experience for players and managers alike.

What happens when I am replaced as manager by an AI. Will I still need to purchase the game? J/K joking sarcasm, humor do not take seriously.

When using recalc, the game is looking at the actual historical stats for a player for 1yr, 3yr, or 5yr spans and bases their ratings on those stats.

I thought that was an AI created post. Unless fredbeene promotes those statements as his own we're arguing with a bot that has us on ignore.

What a lot of people don't realize is that ChatGPT is not an information search tool. It is a text generation tool. That is it.

If it knows the answer to your question, it will generate text for that answer. If it doesn't know the answer, then it will generate text for a fictional answer.

Magic 8 ball for modern times that requires more processing power.

I selected the option to have AI write an ebay listing for me. It talked about how the brand of the product was well respected for its quality etc. It's an obscure brand and not only that I misspelled the name when I typed it.

The text would be more relevant if the specific model were trained on the specific data/information it is getting.

This is now an option on the ChatGPT4 model. User can now even create their own GPT.
