OOTP 25 Wishlist

1. Team Hall of Fame.
2. ability to bid on multiple FA who play the same position but have the option to only sign 1. Similar to the And/Or function in the Rule 5, If you sign any one of the players with offers, the other offers get voided.

I agree that the FA period needs some dev updates. Not sure of the best way to make that more realistic but it would really enhance my user experience I think if that aspect was given some resources.

They could add an option to withdraw x if y occurs.

But we can already manually withdraw contract offers, correct?

Yeah but I think they could make the multitasking/pursuing many FA avenues options a little more robust or maybe (but this might be too much work) assign agencies to players with some being much tougher to negotiate/get info from, etc. This might happen inherently in the code but it's not transparent anything is happening to the user other than waiting on answers from players themselves.

I think he means automatically, which would be great for our purposes, but I'm not sure it's all that realistic. I mean, do teams IRL really put out offers to two players who would fill the same role or do they say to their first choice, "okay, we need an answer by noon Friday or we're moving on" and they only tell the second guy, "we're interested in you, but we can't make you an offer yet"? EDIT: Maybe it does happen, but I'm thinking players / agents would probably be pretty pissed if there was an offer on the table they were considering, but the team pulled it as soon as they signed someone else.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd think it's more like if the Red Sox or Philly were in on Yamamoto for example, when LA signed him, they'd then pivot off to Snell or whatever (unless like the Mets, they view Yamamoto as a very special case and not just "we need a good pitcher this offseason, let's start at 1 and work our way down the list"). IRL Snell's agents I'm sure would wait to see what happens with Yamamoto before just taking some offer from SF or something early, though as they can then gauge the market better and/or have multiple teams that miss out on Yamamoto start to bid more aggressively, perhaps.

I'm not sure if the current game handles FA this way or not. I would guess the AI doesn't necessarily wait out the biggest FAs to sign before it starts making decisions on who to sign with and for how much, moreso maybe that a "star" player is worth x and maybe if a few teams offer "x" the AI will bid against itself for a bit of time until resolution. But it would be neat to see it have some mechanism to wait out the market to set itself at the top like IRL.

Wink Ability to access all reports during game

On the one hand the statistical depth and variety of the game is outstanding. It would be wonderful to be able to access that during a game without having to save and then go back in. Especially when playing with two screens, this would add a lot to the game playing experience.

Thanks,

Ilan
