None of the audio was heard. But the description of actions, body movements, were all in the video. Like I said, no audio, but i'll give an example.

When they separated, someone heard Mike say he wanted to hit that, then slapped himself in the face 2 or 3 times. You do see video if him slapping himself in the face.

So he thought the woman was attractive. Expressing that is against the law?

He was accused of inappropriate touching and the vids I saw showed him just shaking her hand. In fact, Marriott had to be ordered multiple times to provide the video. If video showed Irvin engaging in any crude behavior, or showed the female reacting as if she had been subjected to what she thought was crude behavior why would Marriott repeatedly disobey court orders to provide it? And if I remember correctly, the video of the interaction showed the woman approached Irvin.

Interesting how, on the next-to-last play of the Bills/Giants game, the officials called the obvious PI, and then on the last play of the game, when the PI was very nearly as obvious, they didn't call it. Typical idiot NFL refs.

If I was in charge, besides demanding more-competent reffing, I'd just eliminate PI in all but the most obvious cases (grabbing the jersey, when the defender basically tackles the receiver), since the refs screw up PI calls & non-calls frequenty anyway. In balance it out & benefit the offense, I'd eliminate the dumb procedural stuff: Illegal formation, ineligible man down field, two men in motion at the same time, stuff like that. We don't need these rules...

I always hate this. even when the final undefeated teams include the stupid 49ers. Just get over it. Someone's going to be undefeated again. Maybe it'll be after y'all are dead, maybe it won't.

When you're a high profile person, working for the media in any capacity, you have to know what to do and not do. If you talk to a girl with no witnesses, they can say anything. Your employer has to save face. It's all PR.

Looking at the video, even if he did and said what he said, I don't see it as a big deal. But you can see how it can become one, right? Any girl can say, I don't like what he did and said to me. The rest doesn't matter. There are no rules in the court of public opinion.

Sorry. That is going waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too far. If she approaches him & he blows her off people will fuss about that. You are trying to tell me Irvin was at fault for speaking to a person in public. That is bull crap. That he should expect to be accused of sexual harassment in that environment & scenario. Bull CRAP.

That is not the celebrity's problem. That is the cowardly execs & the nazi special interest groups overreacting to benign stimuli. Celebrities do not need to give in to those mental cases

I can see how someone would TRY. But no, there not need to be a problem. No one on this planet should be given the complete benefit of the doubt based solely on their testimony. There is where the problem lies.

I have zero problem with the '72 Dolphins players celebrating each year when the final undefeated team loses. They accomplished something that no other team has been able to do in 51 years. For the duration that it holds, it gives them a uniqueness in greatness.

It's not like former Dolphins are showing up everywhere to gloat. In fact, I just Googled for it and while some news articles mentioned that '72 Miami remains the only undefeated team in history, there's no story about the '72 Fins celebrating yesterdays' Eagles & Niners losses, other than a few noting that Larry Csonka posted a short Tweet. So it's not like they threw a parade. Just a few old mates bonding over the bubbly. More power to 'em, and if someone has a problem with that, that is where "get over it" should apply, IMO

Football players are told, never interact alone with a woman you don't know. The example used, if you're getting on an elevator and there's just one woman with you, get off. I just remember this from someone talking about football. It probably holds true for any pro athlete.

No one should be made to live their life like that. This is the problem that comes from being guilty before proven innocent. The execs are giving accusers unwarranted power. Michael Irvin should not be expected to prove his innocence by being forced to hire professional alibis to travel w/him everywhere. That is ridiculous.

Most women won't ride alone in an elevator with an unknown man.

These refs are absolute trash. How is this not fair catch interference?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2M_lYSqo1M

Yet they give the ball to the Chargers at the Cowboys 20. You can't be this dumb. Forget what happened after the video. It's fair catch interference. Whatever happens after that doesn't matter.

I agree 100%. The problem is your employer has to make a decision. Do they even care if you're guilty or not? I don't think so. Not in that line of business. They are making decisions based solely on PR. If I did the same the hotel would kick me out and my job wouldn't even know about it. Even if they did, they wouldn't care.

No one on the kicking team touched him except the guy that was blocked into him. The receiving team can't be penalized for interfering with their own fair catch.

And what drives PR? The corrupt "news" media and shrieking voices on Twitter/X and other social media, neither of which is a real or accurate representative or representation of the public.

As long as businesses don't stand up to this, nothing will change, and they will forever be held hostage by the outrage merchants.

The problem is the employer let it be a problem. Just like the NCAA's "problems". Players getting gifts, cash, transferring is not a problem. But the NCAA decided it needed to be a problem so they made it a problem instead of just saying "not my problem."

Owners & execs let the police & prosecutors problem become their problem when it didn't need to be their problem, nor was it causing them problems. That's the problem.

Especially in Irvin's case. When even what he was accused of, even if true, wasn't illegal. Inviting someone to your hotel room is not wrong. People write hit songs over that very scenario.
