Why is this player still listed in team chemistry when he is out for the season?

I honestly don't know how much team chemistry plays into the overall performance of a team.
But if it does, why is Seth Romero, who is out for the season with a torn labrum still listed as unmotivated.
I would imagine, if he is truly doesn't give a rip, he is not hanging out while he sits on the injured list and so I would consider him no longer part of "the team."

I would assume because he still belongs to your "roster", he counts towards chemistry. MLB players will normally be in the team dugout even if they are on the injured list.
Also, the player personalities don't really have a specific effect other than helping or hindering the team chemistry. In theory, the player might not be in the clubhouse, but the game engine doesn't know that.

He'd presumably still be working out with the team and I guess if he's not then that's a distraction in and of itself. To the larger point I think the game just treats everyone who's on the active roster and the DL when it checks chemistry. Maybe it should carve out an exception for guys on the 60 day DL, I don't know, although I'd think that would need to work both ways (if your team captain goes on the 60 day list, oops, you basically don't have a captain anymore).

I fully agree that injured players are not in the clubhouse as often and their effect on chemistry should be reduced. That includes positive guys

Don’t worry, no one, not even the developers know.
