It helps to post to the appropriate board. I moved it.

Yeah, there are different ways to move your folder. Probably the best way, if you're running OOTP through steam, is to create a steam library. It's what I do now. I was having some recurring issues with OOTP, but one of the devs, Alex, recommended I do this instead and those issues haven't recurred since.

What I used to do was simply change the "custom data path" via the Start Menu Settings > Expert tab. That may work for you too, but I'd try the above first if you can.

When you're first installing OOTP you may be able to select where you want it installed then too (I don't recall).

I bought the game directly and am also running out of space on my C drive, while I have two external HDs. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, and did not see anywhere to choose where to install. Can anyone help?

Not sure how the installer has changed in the last couple versions, but in v21 step three, right after the license agreement, asked for installation location.

I just checked the installer for v24, the option to select user defined folder was still in the same spot (windows install).

2 ways - in the game setings -- when the app first loads, not a loaded league settings. or, there is an ini file in the root directory you can edit, i believe.

may have to read through various tabs to find it... but it's 'there' ... benefits of a GUI... simply read the screen... click and read some more. based on topic at hand limits how many things you have to click and read. 'expert' tabe? adanced settings? something like that i bet.

also, any standalone or non steam... install to a non-windows directory. make a C:\Games directory or soemthing for all your games. windows directories do odd things and prevent some basic things at times. they are potentially wonky and annoying, to sum it up.

do that for apps, too, fwiw.

if mac.. buy a real pc.

We are getting off track here. I want to be able to change the folder that normally sits in Documents.

For my PC I install to a user defined location as snepp suggested. All saves are in this folder on my D: drive. If you only have a C: drive you may not have a choice other than to do what kg76 suggested.
