Owners dying left and right

I thought the worse effect of Covid was over , but maybe not in OOTP worlds.
Several save I ran in both OOTP23 and 24 have seen 3-5 owners dying the first 2 years of play.
Is this just bad luck, or do others getting the same horrible messages of folks 60 plus dying. A bit too common I think

Maybe an age problem in the game as a whole, since I have seen GM and Managers a few years over 60 retire almost after the first year of play.
Dusty Baker is surely one in every save, but Tony LaRussa hanging on.

In the default file if I recall correctly 2 owners are in their 90’s and another 3 or more in their 80’s. Seems realistic to me??

Seems like owners routinely hang on well into their 80's in my fictional leagues.

It seems rather macabre that owners are the only beings that expire in the OOTPB universe.

I always wondered if someone was subtlely saying something with that.

I get that OOTP might not like to say players or coaches have "died", but they could just go with "passed" which can mean whatever the user wants it to mean.

I wonder if the age the average owner passes changes based on the era being played. For instance, one might expect the average owner nowadays passes sometime in their 80s, while if you're playing an 1800s league they might be passing in their 60s.

I meant some people don't believe that we're completely dead when we die, just that we've passed onto the next plane of existence. I don't know what I believe, but I do think it's comforting to think that that may at least be a possibility. And if the objection to having players and managers die was due to the finality of it, well, let's just leave it open.
