@sdw1000, These are the type issues i'm having as discussed in another thread.
"Dijon-Main Bat Boy Join Date: Mar 2023 Posts: 19 UI Problems I just wanted to ask if anyone has been having issues with the UI in this game. It seems like there are little things here or there that make the UI a little disjointed, such as cut-off text, non-centered text, and more. Is this a screen size problem or an operating system problem (I play on Mac), or is it a problem with the game itself? Last year the UI was almost flawless and this year it seems to have taken a step back. Wondering if anyone is noticing the same things". |

Screenshots?
My newest peeve as of this year. This is on a 17" laptop. With all the horizontal space available why is this so pinched. It looks better here than on the game, somehow. It seems minor but you have to read rather than an immediate scan, and it adds up to unnecessary eye strain. Why not just simply, obviously: Profile | Ratings | Batting | Pitching | Fielding | RL | ... Last edited by HonusWagner; 08-15-2023 at 12:14 PM. |

In a full display it is worse. They say no funds etc were diverted away from game development into the 3D or P2W. But clearly funds are diverted away from information presentation and graphics layout and performance. Because it's always been poor.

That can likely be fixed easily by adjusting your screen resolution settings.

Switched Windows scale setting from 125% to 100%, and increasing game font to "increased", so obvious improvement. Downside is the rest of Windows now appears as 4pt font. Point was, with a bit of rethinking display and layout they could get much more out of the screen real estate.

What the screen displays adjusts based on your resolution. At higher resolutions it fits a lot more stuff on there.
I'm not sure what you are referring to with "windows scale setting". What is your resolution? |

1920 x 1080
There is the Windows text size slider setting, have tried that but might require a restart. That's my highest resolution. Scale setting is right above resolution setting. Last edited by HonusWagner; 08-15-2023 at 12:47 PM. |

Strange. I am not seeing the issues you are when using that resolution. No text running together for me.

PSU take a look at my other thread and tell me whether you think Baker Bowl ought to have such a low doubles production.

Credit where credit is due, however: at least the numbers in the number columns are right-aligned. I've seen plenty of games where columns of numbers are left-aligned, which is just wrong, wrong, wrong, (Gary Grigsby games, I'm looking at you.)

I will give credit where credit is due - to Rain King for revolutionizing my OOTP screen. This is a huge improvement ! Or should I say, resolutionizing...!

You have two options available: 1. Play at a lower resolution. 2. Turn the 125% Windows effect down to 100% while you're playing the game and then turn it back up to 125% when you're done. I had a somewhat similar issue as a full-stack developer when I was working on a "UI bug" that was logged by a person in QA where at the lowest resolution we cover for in our documentation, some elements were overlapping others (the website in question was only used internally and we did not have any plans to make it accessible for mobile devices or tablets so the minimum resolution was relatively high, like 1440 x 1068 or whatever the right dimensions are nowadays). Try as I might, I couldn't replicate the issue, even when I manually set the browser to the lowest possible resolution. I pinged the QA person who logged the issue and it turns out, they were working from their laptop screen, which was set to the lowest allowable resolution but they'd set Windows to increase the size by 25%. I had to explain to them, as I had to here, that when you do that, it's actually lower than the lowest possible resolution and therefore out of our scope to fix. Anyway, just saying, pros can make this mistake as well. Unfortunately, as noted, since it's not really an OOTP issue I don't see them coming up with a "fix" per se.

Here are some examples.
Here, they can remove the horizontal dedicated to a redundant game clock. And do we need to be reminded these are "Games" ? |

Here are examples of pinched graphics that ineffectively utilize available space. Opening in browser is a nice option / work around. But overall there tends to be a pinched feel and here obviously it is not for lack of resolution or screen size.
