I think it is great for the Tigres, with all they have had to deal with this season, yet I still cannot give a fig for a "combined no-hitter". Not the Mets last season, not the one in the WS and not now. Sorry, guys.
Congratulations, however. |

Same here. I guarantee that I won't ever wistfully say "remember that day Manning threw six and two thirds no hit ball against the Jay's and AJ pulled him because he was over 90 pitches?"

I agree. I applaud MLB's changes. I have watched more regular season baseball this season than I have combined over the last decade. .

Same (maybe not literally more than the last decade combined) but mostly because of the drastically sped up tempo. I’d still love it if the game was less static but I’m guessing strikeouts are a bell that cannot be unrung.

I think the next big change I'd like to see is the mound being moved back at least a foot. Pitchers are still way too dominant. Still too many strikeouts.

Terrible season watch update:
Oakland currently on pace with 1952 Pittsburgh (42-112 .273). Kansas City currently on pace with 1915/1928 Philadelphia AL/NL (43-109 .283) |

I haven't watched the All Star game since the players stopped wearing their team's uniforms and caps. It was maybe the coolest feature of the game. I've tried from time to time, over the years, but when I did turn it on, I immediately turned it back off.
Just looked on youtube at highlights. Along with the uniforms sucking so do the white hats. I guess the actual jerseys and hats with the all star game patch don't sell as well as the yearly one and done models that "I just have to have". Forget the guy that ok'd this year's NL uniforms. Go back in time and terminate the one that decided to go away from each player wearing his team's gear. |

Article on analyzing the rule changes up to the AS break. Games down to 2:38 from 3:04. LHB babip up, SB att and success up, among many other things. In a video they talk about suspending the pitch clock for those "most important games" ie the playoffs, and how it's not necessary. Their example is they ran the clock on the Gibson/Eckersley Dodgers A's WS game. Long AB and every pitch was made within the pitch clock timer. The only thing that didn't fit is Eck threw over to first base four times.
I've been to one MLB and one MiLB game this year and absolutely loved the changes. Baseball doing something right. https://www.mlb.com/news/impact-of-m...=1689253866099 |

As I said before, I like the changes. Though philosophically opposed to banning the shifts. I don't see any difference in banning the shift from banning sliders cause a particular hitter can't hit it. But otherwise I'm please w/the w/the way the game is played now.

I would disagree 100%. 1) MLB is training players to get used to the speeded-up game. Why throw that out the window for the post-season? 2) People like the speeded-up games. They tune in more to games now because of the pace. Allowing the games to crawl back to a snail's pace will turn people off from watching. 3) MLB has no precedent for changing regular season rules for the playoffs, why start now?

The fake bogus runner rule in extra innings.
