He definatly isn't kidding about the laid back approach. His NGBL ownership ended in dramatic fashion after people complained about people taking too long to make their draft picks.

The NGBL was far more 'demanding' of a league than I wish[ed] to be in. No harm in that. I can't help but think many people agree with me, given the turnover rate you guys seem to have. I was there for 3-4 weeks and saw 12 new owners... there has to be a reason for that, eh? Glad to see you've gotten past that little hurdle and aren't still making an issue of it. Oh. Jase |

Fixed that part for ya, oh wait you were one of the Cardinals owners. ![]() Glad to see your still as uptight as ever, I didn't mean it as an insult, was commenting that you are indeed interested in a much more laid back style when it comes to an OOTP league, and noticed that still holding true. At least your laid back about something. Last edited by clarnzz; 11-24-2003 at 07:08 PM. |

The fact is, I thought NGBL was a good league. I did every single lineup the entire time I was there. Never missed a single one. I participated in the live sims and even dabbled in the trading process. But when I was at work and the AMA draft started at noon one day and I had the #1 overall pick, the draft had to 'stall'. People e-mailed me that I was 'ruining the league' and all kinds of ******ed jargon, because they ahd to wait until 5:30 for me to get off of work and make my pick. That's why I quit. If you want to call is 'dramatic' and make it out like I was some kind of little whiney bitch, you can. But those are the facts. I have no beef with you and I have no beef with NGBL. I'm sure it's a fine league... but it just wasn't for me. I just wish everytime I make a post on here, you don't have to bring up a seriously 'needs a grave' issue. Jase |

You realized it wasn't a league for you and quickly moved on, I don't see any harm in that.

Good question. Oh well, this is about longest running leagues and we aren't one of them yet. I just saw he still had NGBL in his signature and thought he was acting like a prick to CWBL commish, who seems like a pretty nice guy. Since I do a good enough job of covering negative league publicity myself, all we need is someone not even in the league making us look even worse. Not I really care that much, but if history means anything we are going to need at least 45 more Yankees and Cardinals GM's. Last edited by clarnzz; 11-25-2003 at 05:18 PM. |
