I thought this was rather unprofessional of OOTPD ...

Were they trying to be funny? "Nyah, nyah, no off-days. Deal with it!"

Until I pulled down the menu and realized "hah" didn't mean "hah, in your face" but "home-away-home":

Even then, I didn't realize it — I was wondering why "ahh" was a relief with the same no off-days — until I saw "ha h" at the bottom. Then the light dawned.

This is not new to OOTP.

What's unprofessional about using abbreviations?

The letters aren't needed in the parentheses since the preceding description lists the home-away rotation.

The letters clarify when there are days off explicitly for the more complex setups.

Doesn't seem to be the optimal way to show this information given the unintended humor that results as per the OP.

Perhaps something like "Off day after game 2 and 4" for a best-of-five series with a 2-2-1 rotation.

Agreed. I probably would've looked at hah or ahh multiple times before figuring out what they meant.

Capitalizing and separating with a hyphen would help. For example, H-A-off day-H or H-A-off-H would likely be clearer if abbreviations are preferred.

You guys should use “destroye” for home games and “Merka” for away ones to make it easier to parse.

Different worlds I guess, The very first time I saw it I grasped what it meant right away and thought it was a great addition to the game.

What a wonderful contribution to the thread! Truly outstanding. Anyway, run along now, the adults are trying to talk about clarity in the user interface.

Don't assume everyone else does. Particularly for newer users. Even if most grasp it, is the current format the best way to present the data? Or could it be done in a clearer way that looks better?

(I’m almost positive the original post was goofing.)

Yet it nevertheless raises a legitimate point: is the information being presented in a way that is clear to any user and also looks good aesthetically? The answer appears to be no, or at least, it can be questioned.

Which is why I said "different worlds". Easy for some, not so for others.

Opinions vary - I think it's fine the way it's presented. Again, "different worlds".

Probably because you actually play the game.

Is this thread telling me that Deja Bru bought the game?

I can't remember: is there a Best of Nine option that alternates venues with no days off so we can have a AHAHAHAHA series?
