Weird. Displayed overall rating of free agent pitchers incorrect until you sign them!

This was a weird bug, and I have a save that easily reproduces this.

I am not using scouting... all scouting is set to 100% and AI overall rating is set to 100/0/0/0 (100% based on ratings, no stats).

Occasionally a free agent pitcher is listed with a certain rating, e.g. 2.5 stars, and then when I sign him he immediately drops to 1.5 stars. This is pretty frustrating when trying to build a team! It's not restricted to the stars.. it happens even if overall ratings are set to the 20-80 scale.

However, I have noticed that if I simply look at the editor page for the pitcher (in commissioner mode) without changing anything, that the overall ratings for the pitchers automatically correct to the values that I would see when I sign them! I have not noticed this behavior with batters, so it could be pitcher-specific.

So I have a klunky workaround, but I think you guys might want to know about this.

Like I said, I have a save that reproduces this behavior easily.

I wonder if it's an issue of not being in the league as a FA while being in the league once signed. I agree, it shouldn't happen, but I wonder if that's where the problem lies, the AI is judging him based on 2 different baselines (pun not intended).
