How many are still running your Franchise Leagues in v23?

I'm curious.

Although I'm obviously playing Perfect Team in v24, all my franchise leagues are still in v23. I'm waiting to be sure the financial and AI trading issues are resolved before I move them over. My newest league I also started in v23.

Am I alone thinking this or are there others as well?

PS: All of my leagues are fictional.

Since I'm happily playing my imported game in v24, I'm not sure if you want me to post or not? I'll be happy to remove my post if you only want "me too's" from users that have not moved on to v24.

I play out all of my games, so it's slow progress. In my case I am able to watch the trades and financials shouldn't be an issue until my game proceeds to "next year". Any patches between now and then will apply to my league at that time.

If I simulated my games and covered many seasons quickly I could see waiting on the patch.

That's what I'm doing too, 24 for PT, 23 for solo league. I'm jealous of the graphical enhancements people are getting to enjoy in 24, but that's okay. I'd rather wait for the kinks to get worked out.

I’m with Sweed on this one. I’ve imported and moved on. Very happy with howthings are working out. I too play day to day every game and micro manage my universe so it hasn’t been an issue for me. Agree with the moving on to next season though, but do expect a patch to resolve these before I get to that point. If not, I’ll just sit and wait then on the slight off chance that they wouldn’t be

Yes I also imported my league from V23 to V24.

I too play out all my games (one pitch mode).

I'm currently 41 games into the season...no issues to date...I have the trade AI set one click to the left of the hardest setting...thus do not play with the new hard trade AI feature.

The 3D graphics are great...but more important I see many plays on the field by the defense that I have not experienced before in previous versions. That to me is worth the price of admission alone with V24. That immersion improvement goes without notice unless one plays out each game.

I am inclined to think that testimonials are of little value one way or another. It really is a matter of expectations, I believe. There are certain individuals who never seem to experience issues that others raise. Unless they post their leagues as a QuickStart, it is impossible to know if their (presumably genuine) satisfaction will translate to your case or if it is a matter of what is necessary to obtain that satisfaction. For example, my personal priority is with the player ratings model and the statistical profile (variances, distributions) of the results these generate. These concerns are rather rarely explored on the forum these days, and are noticeably absent from the most ardently declaimed encomiums.

For those who play out most if not all games in an MLB-like save, would you recommend proceeding? I've been waiting for patches to smooth out financial issues being reported, among other things.

I imported my now-fictional MLB league (in year 2081) and am still seeing way too many AI trades after importing. I am on very low trading frequency too btw. I haven't noticed anything fishy other than that though.

Honestly, burning some time with some of the other strategy, rpg, and shooter games out lately. Had my old OOTP23 franchise in the offseason, ready to import, but not really trusting on the current OOTP24 patch. Will reevaluate during the next beta patch.

I did import a historical series where my dad and I manage every game, and it's more noticeable when there's wonky animations(yet somehow look ok on replay?), and a late-game crash on build 52 that makes me kind of nervous every time we get late in a game now. Auto-calc'd at beginning of a season, and stats seem ok, but OF Assists in game feel worrying high. Also, the baserunning decisions skipping animations(which was supposedly fixed...) is still irritating, since that's been glitchy for as long as I've been playing OOTP.

The last patch of 23, despite the controversy, felt super solid.

I started my league in version 17. I imported to 24 first day of Beta. Also coincided with the beginning of my current season. I play out every game in one-pitch mode. I am in my playoffs. I have had no major issues, mostly cosmetic.
Remember it is the nature of these forums for people to post bugs, but not those of us that are happy with the game. And these bugs issues need to be posted. It just makes the game look way worse than it is.
Hope this helps.

Are you talking quantity, quality, or both? I just posted my May trades and am showing similar numbers to v23's May totals, actually a few less than v23's trade total for May on average frequency and the 4-25's evaluations. A link to my post from today.

Obviously we all have opinions on what works for us. What is acceptable to me, may not be to you.

My finances imported fine. The rub will come when the season moves from regular to offseason, but being in June in my game, that should be long sorted when I am ready to move on. If not? I could pause, or run a test season, from a backup, to see for myself, and if all looked good get back to playing.

Pretty much my experience too, except I am just starting June.

Lukas posted on another thread that they hoped to have the next patch's public beta out next week, so to the extent you have been waiting already, I'd certainly wait a tad longer so that can get a once over by the community and then look to whatever the final resulting patch is.

I have a MLB only game going in 24, and my main save will never leave 23 for certain reasons

Yeah I have a Cubs save that I havent really started yet after reading things. Not an import, but I imagine your "infrastructure", so to speak, from a 23 save helps a bit, perhaps.

The 3d improvements and new features aren't a good enough trade off for me to lose the additional leagues. You as well?

I'm hoping in a few years, assuming there is still new versions of Ootp... not that I think there won't be. . But I can't tell the future so I'll still say if. . I'm hoping that eventually there won't be a filter to wipe a certain league and I'll be able to move my save forward.

It's a mix. I'm playing a full world setup (thanks PSU) in v23 and absolutely love how the world evolves over the years. I'm even thinking of starting another full world game and see how things turn out different if I change up what leagues I play as.

The biggest thing keeping me from OOTP 24 is a lack of understanding how the settings work for an optimal world (in my view). I spend a couple of hours a week testing things trying to find the right balance, but haven't been able to yet. I've imported my longest/largest v23 save into v24 and kept all the leagues in tact, but again, the numbers seem to be way off season-to-season from what I was seeing previously.

I'm excited to try the new patch releasing in the next week or so. Things are getting better, so hopefully I'll be able to make the full switch to 24 soon.

Wish I could, but im not willing to lose that one league. Plus I've put too much work into building my NCAA feeder, I've pulled players from either 3 or 4 versions of OOTP, and have close to 8 conferences done with their correct 2022 rosters
