Pre-ordered it so I could have it three days early, get busy with work and don't get it installed until a day after it comes out, LOL....

BUT OOTP 24 was very much worth the wait. As one who has played almost every version since OOTP 2, this game has surpassed my wildest expectations. Even since OOTP 22 (my last version) it has improved leaps and bounds.

-- The layout is really easy on these (legally blind) eyes. Very easy to read. Very intuitive. Very crisp.

-- It was so easy to jump right on and play an exhibition game within 10-15 minutes of downloading the game. And since I play out most of my games now, I couldn't be happier with the graphics. I did have to increase the ball size, and I do wish there was a way for the super stats replay with the statcast info view to be default, but the game is just like watching a ballgame on TV right out of the box, and that's a big deal. Love several of the camera angles, animations, and the ballparks really pop.

Hoping it will be easy to get mods in, and get historicals cranked up soon, but I would agree with most everyone who says this version has taken a big step forward from graphics to performance to ease of use. Give it a solid 5 stars and am glad I broke down and got it instead of waiting till a midseason sale.

Yeah, lots of overlapping text, alignment issues (what happened to the playoff bracket screen… yikes), etc. Like the font and ease of reading, but the formatting is all over the place. Having said that, everything under the hood seems great so far, the 3-D updates are always welcome, and the speed of the game is vastly improved on my machine.

What screen resolution and settings are you using? If there are any particular pages that show the issues, please post screenshots in the bugs forum and we can look into it.

Anyone else having this problem...?

For the last 2-3 years, I've had consistent resolution issues with OOTP. I just got the new game and it's already apparent the issue hasn't gone away.

I have a MacBook Pro (2021) with a Liquid Retina XDR Display. When I load the game, it already looks a bit fuzzy but still good enough to play. However, the game resolution constantly goes in and out, appearing very blurry off and on until I move my mouse and then it goes away briefly. It's very distracting and I have no idea why this has been an issue for the last 2-3 years.

I've messed with a bunch of the display settings and nothing has fixed the problem to this point. Any help you might have would be great!

(should also note I purchased the game via the OOTP store)

I brought a game over from 2023. It has the exact setup as over there but when playing here on 2024, my gameplay is very wonky and jerky. How can I fix this? I have a PC windows

It's a very nice update. One thing i noticed with the Classic Skin highlighting text in the editor isn't very clear, hard to tell if it's highlighted or not.

Otherwise liking the visual changes, love how you can set the number of windows in the Rosters & Transactions tab now. Seems like a lot of effort when into improvements of the visuals, very nice and shiny.

Okay, I know that I read something about this in a thread somewhere, but there seems to be an abnormal number of players in the major leagues who have minor league contracts.

Will this get fixed in a later patch, or we need to manually give players major league contracts?

Based on what I have seen in other threads, these are Pre-Arbitration players who will automatically get major league contracts on Opening Day.

Thanks. I suspect that is interfering with pre-season trades because finances are messed up.

I wanted to update my situation concerning the game crashing or in my case the screen going black. This always seemed to happen in the seventh inning. I could not even get through one game without this happening. I downloaded the latest patch this morning and was able to finish two spring games with no issues. Hopefully the problem is corrected. Thanks to the OOTP team for their response to this.
