Given the limited real estate in short list columns, any chance we can not only name a shortlist but also give them an abbreviation and description?

Maybe the abbreviation could be displayed on the shortlist column and in the player pop up preview window?

Was the ability to turn a retired player into a coach taken away? I remember being able to do it a couple years ago, didn't know if that had changed. Was going to turn Marc DeRosa into an MLB manager, considering the job he did w/ Team USA and all the hype around him being a future manager.

I still see it in my games. Maybe you have a setting turned off?

What setting would that be? I'm not seeing the button and I'm in commish mode

EDIT: I'm seeing it for some former players, but not others. Weird.

That's a different issue. Should see it for all former players.

Just a stab in the dark for settings. I don't know of any that would affect your ability to see that for retired players. Did some quick double checking and I can see it for all retired players whether I am in Commish Mode or not, and regardless of Coaches being enabled for my game.

Any chance the players you don't have the option for are not actually retired?

I tried w/ DeRosa, who retired in 2013. Didn't work. Thought it was a retirement yr thing, so I tried Mo Rivera, and he was able to be a coach. Tried Pujols, who retired last year, and he was able to be a coach. Maybe it's something w/ his ID being used for a coach in the WBC automatically? Not sure.

He's not already a free agent coach in available personnel, is he? Can you navigate to the screen with all the unsigned coaches?
