I think your cute animal team logos really resonate well with Japan - manga/anime/kawaii characters, keep it up!

A few cool animals or characters with ties to Japan can also be considered/introduced - like the Tengus, Kappa, Foxes/Kitsunes, dragons and etc.

Apparently Ichiro Suzuki has joined a local amateur team called Kobe Chiben in Japan - and this year Daisuke Matsuzaka joined him too:

Could be a cool concept to bring it to life in OOTP. With Ichiro as the owner.

Good to see you chiming in, unknownick!

Brendan, please let us know if we need to leave your thread alone.
You are completely right! I didn't do enough research and assumed it's around the same area. Now that I know this fact, it bothers me, ha ha ha. So here is a new logo that's similar. I see this image on postcards the last time I visited Okinawa.... maybe 7~8 years ago?

That is a great-looking logo! And you even included a gradient uniform like Japanese teams are so fond of (for some reason).

Kyoto Frogs

I found this Japanese folktale about a frog from Kyoto that wants to leave home. So, he heads out to check out Osaka. On a nearby mountaintop, he meets a frog from Osaka who is on his way to Kyoto. They agree to help each other stand up to better see where they are going. When they stand, the frog from Kyoto is looking at Kyoto (and vice versa). Each frog decides to return home.

Accordingly, I have decided that a team from Kyoto will leave Kyoto at some point in its history only to return with a new moniker... the Frogs.

Watermelon frogs look great! What an unique look that should be interesting in-game.

Let me also share another team that I thought about. For this one, I kinda want to retain a similar concept as the original team. Hiroshima is still famous for fish markets and seafood dishes. The team should be named after some type of fish, whether it's edible or not. So here is Hiroshima Koi (or Goldfish). The gold color is supposed to show the same style as NHL's Vegas Golden Knights. Well, I tried

This is awesome stuff.

We already got 9 teams.

We need a team in each of Shikoku, Kyushu, and Hokkaido.

The Patriots of Tosa (now Kochi) - Tribute to Sakamoto Ryōma

Copy and paste from Wiki -
Sakamoto Ryōma (坂本龍馬, 3 January 1836 – 10 December 1867) was a Japanese samurai, a shishi and influential figure of the Bakumatsu and establishment of the Empire of Japan in the late Edo period.

He was a low-ranking samurai from the Tosa Domain (now Kochi Prefecture) on Shikoku and became an active opponent of the Tokugawa Shogunate after the end of Japan's sakoku isolationist policy. Ryōma under the alias Saitani Umetarō (才谷梅太郎) worked against the Bakufu, the government of the Tokugawa shogunate, and was often hunted by their supporters and the Shinsengumi. Ryōma advocated for democracy, Japanese nationalism, return of power to the Imperial Court, abolition of feudalism, and moderate modernization and industrialization of Japan. Ryōma successfully negotiated the Satchō Alliance between the powerful rival Chōshū and Satsuma domains and united them against the Bakufu. Ryōma was assassinated in December 1867 with his companion Nakaoka Shintarō, shortly before the Boshin War and the Meiji Restoration.

Now Shikoku and Kochi will cheer their heroes/patriots once again, on the baseball field. The spirit of Ryoma will bless the players to fight as true samurais and patriots of Japan.

Kochi Patriots could serve as an expansion franchise, or an existing team for the island of Shikoku.

Logos were borrowed from Princeton Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelhounds.

Jersey was designed with the template of Montreal Expos. Went heavy on pinstripes in the away uniform.

Added an alternate, since the cap of Kochi looks too much like Kobe.

Awesome stuff. I feel like pink is underutilized in professional sports. Also appreciate the context behind the identity. I have updated the first post. Much appreciated.

Thanks.

Yea, Ryoma is probably the most famous Shikoku figure in the modern Japan. He was kind of a founding father figure that changed Japanese history, and leading the transition from Shogunate era to Emperor era.
