I know that was part of the reason. But that is some stooooooopid thinking to hire someone based on the fact he has talented friends. There was nothing in Hackett's resume to say "Head Coach".

Haha!

In reality, I'd want neither. At all. Tua was not only a completely wasted high draft pick, but the Fins coulda had Herbert instead. That's football malpractice right there.

I'm fine w/u on that part. But Wentz is a lost cause.

EDIT: I forgot. Then Dak taking a sack on the play b4 the 2:00 warning instead of tossing it away. If it was after the warning, fine. Keep the clock running & use up a Philly TO. But before it and all you're doing is losing yards.
Yep. That's why I thought they were actually going for it. The entire sequence looked like a team panicking under pressure. The players and coaching staff weren't thinking clearly.

Only Terry Bradshaw can play better after a concussion. Ask the Cowboys.

Tua in concussion protocol. Which makes me ask, "How did folks on Twitter catch it but paid medical staff on the field didn't?"

It's not what you know it's who you know, or not.

At this point I’d just say the Dolphins’ trainers are doing it on purpose.

But am I not supposed to believe it is silly to think the NFL would manipulate things beyond the rules?

Wow, look at the schedule the chargers used to get into the playoffs.

Wins against: LA Raiders, HOU, CLE, DEN, ATL, ARI, MIA, TEN, IND. Tennessee and Miami are the only decent wins on the schedule and they are not world beaters.

When you keep adding playoff teams, it no longer becomes hard to make the playoffs. You truly have to suck to not make the playoffs.

Silly? of course they manipulate the rules. Look at last season for example. All throughout the year teams were devastated by Covid. Right before the playoffs started it all changed. Testing ended. Only players showing symptoms would be tested. Of course, it's the playoffs!! You can't have key players out. It was just a show.

One of the best D lineman the game has ever seen, JJ Watt is retiring. Such a shame he had to waste his career on the Texans & Cardinals.

Same thing with the NBA during the previous two seasons. Players & coaches wearing masks for show, but when the coach roaming the sidelines need to communicate something to his players or wanted to yell at a ref, the mask was pulled down... And then look at the bench and half the players were wearing masks on their chins... And of course these same players, when actually in the game, were mask-less and sweating all over each other (not that there was any other choice if the games were to go on...)... As a Celtics fan, I frequently noticed that Ime Udoka was a prime offender: Diligently donning his mask during games, even when they became optional, but frequently pulling it down when talking or yelling. And then in the postgame interview, he made a big show of wearing it constantly. (And you just KNOW that the minute the players and coaches reached the locker room, there wouldn't be a mask in sight, unless it was on the floor... or unless the media cameras were rolling...)

If the NBA actually felt the masks made a bit of difference - and of course, with NBA benches primarily stocked with 20 & 30-year olds in tip-top shape, they knew it didn't - they would've had strict enforcement of the mask rule.

Rather, they were just putting on a show... And they weren't alone in this. As evidence, the NFL & playoffs, as you noted. And just about anywhere else in the sports world and beyond.

But I would definitely take Gardner Minshew over Tua.

Minshew is pretty good for a dude that hardly plays. As a Cowboys fan I loved the win. I didn't love the fact Dallas had to get very lucky to win.
