Awesome news, thanks for the update!
And thanks very much for finding out a way to transfer over the seasons we purchased. I think that will help appease a lot of us. @Will, is there any chance you can tell us which countries are getting the soft launch? Will it be Canada and Australia again like last year, or somewhere else? |

Also since I haven't bought the historical bundle yet is it better to buy now or will it still be $20 USD or equivalent based on exchange in GO 23? Last edited by snarls200; 07-19-2022 at 01:06 AM. |

One more question about this. OOTP Go's rolling update model meant that in-app purchases would roll over to future years indefinitely. Will this continue to happen with subsequent releases? Or is this a one-time transfer, and those of us who bought the entire historical pack will not be able to roll it over into next season's mobile OOTP 24? |

I would also love to see simultaneous releases next year, and I understand the frustration with having to wait a bit longer. But the US is obviously their biggest market and biggest potential for new customers finding the app, so I can understand them wanting one more chance to find and squash bugs before releasing the game to the masses. And with a bit of tech savvy, it is possible to set up an Apple or Google account in whichever country is getting the early access ![]() |

You can try to search for updates in the App Store before going that far. I've got an Android and just searching for updates worked for me. If you don't see any update, then deleting and reinstalling should fix it according to Will. You might not see Go just searching the App Store, but it should be visible in your purchase. |

Plus Canada is a large market and country with lots of potential users,so If you are going to disqualify the USA based on this, then you must disqualify Canada as well. It is my personal opinion that as late as GO is getting out the door already, that a soft launch just wastes more time, and the season will be practically almost over before Go sees the worldwide light of day. Bottom line is this devlopment team needs to get it's priorities straight for next year so that we can have simultaneous releases, and actually have a soft launch along the time OOTP 24 Early access hits, but this year they need to nix gthe soft launch, and face and fix bugs as the world finds them. I have no problem downloading update after update as much as needed. |

I completely understand your frustration, trust me. I've also been waiting anxiously for the new release to drop. And about the release strategy, I think it's pretty clear their largest customer base is in the US. Of course they want to get the game into the hands of as many as possible, but they want to have the game as stable as possible before releasing to their biggest market. I don't necessarily like it, but I certainly understand their approach. The first impression is very important, and not all customers are so willing to install updates and give the game a second go. There are plenty of people that throw around 1 star ratings without giving much thought, and that could be very hard to overcome. I do believe the dev team is doing their best to put out a great game for us. I also wish they would offer updates and respond to our questions more often. I'm looking forward to the finished product either way, and I'm trying to look at the glass half full and hope a global release is coming soon. |

Canada has a little over 1/8 of the population of USA and probablya little lower % that would play thie. SO i makes good sense of a soft launch locatiom.
The biggest reason for this type of launch tends to so they don't overwhelm the online servers. |

Do you have an Android or iPhone? I can try to walk you through the process on an Android but can't help much on an iPhone unfortunately. I can say that I've installed the game on a new Android device even after it was removed from the Play Store and was able to restore my seasons. |

But they're also 10x Canada's population, and likely have a higher percentage of baseball fans too. This has two potential problems. One, you don't necessarily want too many people reporting bugs. That leads to duplicates, and there's little value in getting reports much faster than you can fix them, especially if users then conclude you're slow and unresponsive. Two, the US is a much more important market. Ensuring that the product is as bug-free as possible before introducing it to the market is likely more important here than anywhere else in the world. |

I’m sure that it is a fool’s errand to ask this question, but assuming all goes as expected with the soft launch, when would you project the US release? (fully understanding that this is fluid depend on bugs that are discovered.) The activity levels in the Ace of Bronze tournaments are continuing to slip. We need GO to give the game an infusion of mobile players.

But previous history of seasons played will still not come over, so you have to start from scratch with the new version?

Yes, you will lose your saved games when you delete the app on iOS. It is simple to re-download it though. Go to the App Store and into your purchases. The app will be in there. You can narrow it done by filtering the apps that are not on your phone. It’s simple. The transfer box did not show up on my app, but once I deleted and reinstalled it, it was there.
