Columbia takes the lead in month 2 of the season, but Terra Incognita and Baltimore aren't far behind. Baltimore and the Doug Outs have 7 games this month - so the standings tomorrow will mean more.
Wilmington and Savannah have less than 10 OL games in schedule. In PT, Columbia and the Doug Outs are doing well. |

OL scored a huge win in this week's Back to Basics Wednesday PD tournament, as the New York Patriots won the whole thing despite only drafting 10 pitchers, securing their first ever PD tournament victory. Their prize? 100 Smoky Joe Wood. Despite a L10 of nearly 300k, team officials decided not to sell him at this time. He goes right into the rotation.

Bruno held onto the top spot, while Aceldama slipped by SaukCentre to claim second position. No teams are in relegation at the moment.

Gold league:
Waffletown surges into the lead after an 8-0 month in OL play (which only means if they hold the division lead/make the post season, they will fizzle out in the first round )

At the halfway point, Coney Island is fighting for its life in bronze after a crown winning season in Iron last week. The only bright spot-if you can count it as one with a losing record in them is nearly 40% of their games are one run ballgames. Its difficult for me to layoff and not look to improve the team but I am going to continue to sit on points for a few more weeks unless I hit a jackpot in a pack. I don't like losing but every league needs an Oakland A's....

Baltimore holds on to slim lead at the half-way point with Terra Incognita and Columbia within 1.5 games. Since both teams have 3 OL games to play in July and Baltimore has none, they could easy tighten things up even further. The Doug Outs will have to wait till August to see if they have a shot.
In PT play, Baltimore is trying to move back to Gold with a 44-36 record but is currently 3 games off the pace to do it. Last edited by HRBaker; 07-07-2022 at 10:10 AM. |

Ol b216
Bruno took the month off and easily held onto the lead, as SaukCentre went 2-1 to take over second and Aceldama stumbled through at 4-7. The Oblates have only eight OL games left, and will complete their season by September 1st. Meanwhile, the Lasndsharks and Butchers face each other 10 times, having battled even-handedly thus far, which bodes well for Bruno's crown hopes. No team is in the relegation zone.

The Barons have a 1.5 game lead against the Cougars - but Columbia has 14 OL games left in the season while Baltimore only has 3. The Barons best chance for the title is to win all 3 remaining games against the Cougars on Saturday.
Terra Incognita had a bad month with a 2-8 record, and the Doug Outs remain in the cellar. Unfortunately, Wilmington has completed its OL schedule with only 9 games played, but posted a .778 winning percentage. In PT Play, Baltimore holds 1st place at 56-49 but is 4.5 games away from a promotion to Gold. Last edited by HRBaker; 07-08-2022 at 09:23 AM. |

Long Beach in front. Three of the top four teams in the league are from the OL. Austin in relegation range at the moment.

Mount Hawke had an absolutely stinking run in PT, but were just righting the ship... when they visited the Mundys and got treated to a 4-0 drubbing!
With the Tinners yet to play 3 games against Aomori and 6 against Port Ruppert, it's not over yet, but the Mundys are in a great position. While Mount Hawke's form has been very erratic, Aomori have kept on it (in a tough division), and have at least a wildcard virtually guaranteed. Bit of trivia. At 1.2 WAR, Mount Hawke's closer Dennis Eckersley (bought, of course) leads their entire staff, with the 4th and 5th starters behind on 1.0 and 0.8. Yuck! |

Late Season Excitement in OL B216?
It could be a scintillating stretch run in OL Bronze, or it could be academic. September will be a busy month, with five teams seriously in the mix, and the three trailers poised to play spoiler.
For the "it's academic" scenario, Coney Island set themselves up in the catbird seat with a sweep of Bruno, lending great sorrow to the Oblates season-ending series. If the Warriors take at least three of their final four games in Brooklyn, they capture the crown. Even a split earns them a .615 win percentage, making them hard to catch. Given their limited OL schedule, however, three losses will knock them out. After holding onto first most of the way, Bruno is in the clubhouse in third place and will need help to rise to the top. SaukCentre will be the busiest team with six at home against Grovers Mill, three away versus the Invaders, and a daunting seven road games against Aceldama. If Coney Island splits its series with the Dynasty, the Landsharks would need a 13-3 September. Aceldama has just those seven home games against SaukCentre left and needs to win them all to overcome a Warriors split with Brooklyn. Likewise, Grovers Mill needs to sweep their nine against SaukCentre, as well as three more against Shinbone to surpass a Coney Island team that goes 2-2. No team is in relegation danger at present.
