Started hot. 4 strikeouts in the first 3 innings. Then came the 7-run Seattle explosion in the 4th. Rays defense folded like a cheap lawn chair.

Mariners lose the series against the Rays, but win the run differential over the 3 games. I think this is a net positive trend.

The M's were in game two, no easy feat the way Rasmussen pitched the first six innings. A couple of nice solo shots. Crawford and Toro really got a hold of 'em.

You're not gonna win every game, but the effort was there.

K-nic is my nickname for him. If he can bring down the strike outs he will be a good player.

I (he... Freudian slip typo) looks so focused and like a crazy pitcher. I love it.

The last two games against the Rays could have gone either way, so I'm really not sweating it.

Game One against the Marlins: Got down by a lot, clawed their way back in, came up a little short.

At least they didn't quit!

It might be a little hit and miss offensively until Haniger gets back.

Nice to see them bounce back with a big win. The bats were suddenly alive (good offense), and more importantly, it looked like they were having fun!

Julio's first career home run today!!! Woop! Gilbert has been incredible! Kelenik still disappointing. Maybe he needs more seasoning in AAA.

I got out to see them last night on my Seattle trip! They lost of course but it was neat to see the old stadium (sure, it’s old now) and look at the tacky Mariners regalia.

I was really hoping the alternate uni's would bring a change in fortune, but no such luck.

Gotta say, this was my first time seeing them, but I really like the shade. Then again, what do I know?

P.S. Very cool you got to take the game in on your trip!

I see the Mariners signed Justin Upton. I'm not sure how much help he'll be but a few extra homers can't hurt.

I’d much rather see him out there than Souza, I’ll say that much.

Miguel Andujar of the Yankees has requested a trade after being demoted. He has a careeer average around .270. Maybe the Mariners should look into him with injury issues with Lewis and Haniger?

We still think the M's will break their playoff drought this season?
I am not feeling it now but still hopeful, illogically so.

I am a Yankees fan and I hate what they are doing. Sending Andujar down is not fielding the best team. I would love to see him play in Seattle and probably crush it while playing against the Yankees. Maybe Gallo and Andujar for a few minor leaguers.

Andujar had monster rookie year got hurt and has had limited opportunities since. I don't blame him for wanting a trade. I have no idea while the Yankees hold onto Gallo when he is killing us.

This is a big homestand. The Mariners are closing in on second place in the AL West and the Angels and Rangers are floundering. The competition against the Red Sox, Twins, and Angels is not so great. I think we need to go at least 7-4, 8-3 would be good and 9-2 would be excellent.
