OOTP Go 23 - Status Update!

I think they would be smart to reconsider a yearly release model, once they change providers or whatever and launch a new app, I would keep it Go, no year, and just launch new seasons for franchise and allow people in perfect team time (and money) to actually grow their team instead of flushing cash down the toilet every year and start over on ever launch.. I think you’d get more loyalty and more revenue over time from long term players.. Might need to figure out something for the “whales” of the app for the little spenders, but over time we’d catch up. We can’t if it resets

I did a basic search of the forums that said PT doesn't carry over which I expected from UT and 2k's card game

Just voicing my concern over a game I like, on a forum that was built in part to take in feedback and bugs and what not. I’ve spent some money on it under the legitimate belief that there wouldn’t be any new versions, and based on the devs responses, I think they too didn’t think they would need to release another app, just update the current one with more longevity. I’d like users like me to 1) get compensated for money spent in future apps or 2) try to be a voice to change the trajectory of their decision making. Probably can’t do either but this is the place where my concern will be read… IDK why you’re so combative

Hate to call someone out on their bullcrap but it’s right there for everyone to see.

Out of those 27 maybe 2 weren’t complaining.

To me there are a couple of things here.

Perfect Team is an extension of the desktop game that can now be played on the app. Since OOTP19 and new version of PT comes out with every new version of OOTP desktop version and the previous runs for one more year before the servers are shut. It will always be that way and was understood.

Then there is the base game. I can understand anyone who has a beef if for whatever reason (and honestly the reason doesn't matter as I doubt the devs wanted to do this extra work) there needs to be a new Go. I myself purchased the historical bundle and started what I want to be a long term save. Well, I have a choice I can stick with the current version for my save and download Go 23 for free just to check in on PT or just move over entirely to start my franchise game over.

Some of this is indeed a nuisance for all involved, consumers and developers alike. While it didn't work out as promised we are getting solutions and for an app version of the desktop OOTP its a better than good game.

I just want mlb manger back with updated rosters. I played that game 5 hours a day for years. Ottp go might be a great game on an IPad, idk. But it’s not good on a phone. Just doesn’t play well and is not enjoyable. Since I rarely carry an IPad where ever I go this game is not portable. But if it’s not portable it literally isn’t Ottp Go anymore. At that point might as well play Ottp 23 on a computer if I’m only using it at home. Mlb manger was the perfect portable game. If they had MLB Manger for phones and Go for tablets that would be great. I know I’ve said this before. But I miss MLB manager so much I’ll probably keep beating this dead horse.

Hard to say. Hopefully this is the only switch over but no guarantee especially with how too many publishers are nowadays.

Negative opinions help the game developers more than your weird forum power tripping… you’re free to disagree with my criticisms with the game, but wanting me to not come here and give them is weird, and doesn’t help anyone

No one else is doing that and there’s lots of other posts that share similar traits as mine so stop being so obsessed with me
