ARM appears to be a stat based on outfielder assists, as the only guys in my sim who have anything there are guys who play in the OF.

And the FRM stat is a little broken - only the 70+ CA catchers are any good at it. Everyone else is well into the negatives.

I don't really have much of an issue with the preview. My bigger struggle is trying to get the pants to at least the historic uniform jerseys I'm using. I'm using the Color Picker a lot in Paint.net to try to find a good hex value!

Well right now reusing ids happens when you purge records and you only want to do that for massive leagues or leagues that are several decades old to get them to run faster.

When going to warm up pitchers, you now have the option to have the bench coach give you suggestions. Probably never use it, but I liked seeing it there.

I noticed two things: if you hover over a team's name in the league standings, it shows you their rankings in some key stats and the team's lifetime record.Second, on the Game Settings -> Players & FaceGen page, they have broken out injury frequency into long and short term injuries. If you have ever played with the "Miss season based on real life" check box on, and you have injuries on, it never made sense when a player would get the"miss 15 months" message.Name: team_summ.JPG

Excellent marketing strategy imo.

The rest of us got plenty of information about what was in the game before Tuesday, and they released a pretty comprehensive list of even more changes on Tuesday.

Given that the game hasn't released yet, I'd say buyers are getting a much more thorough understanding of the item they are purchasing than any house buyer ever has.

So you fully disagree with the person who I quoted?

Do you think OOTP is a house? Did you have to take out a mortgage to pay for it?

I was pretty critical of the release and lack of info delivered. I only caved on buying pre-order because I was playing 22 so much and wanted to see how 23 would impact my new league and to benefit from whatever updates.

They've made way more changes to the solo game experience than I was anticipating. But I can see where maybe it'd be harder to know what to highlight, given the OOTP player experience is so personalized to individuals, it'd be hard to know what to tell people to look forward to besides the bells and whistles.

Also, such a small team and probably not a big marketing budget, most of these features we list here aren't sizzling bullet points, but rather really good fodder for folks who have played the game before.

Oh, please. You know exactly what he meant. The pre-release press for this game was terrible and we got barely any information about anything new.

Mostly everything came from outside sources and we were pretty much tasked with finding new feature for ourselves. Hence, this thread .

Some of you need to grow up and stop defending this game like you have stock in it. Jesus Christ it’s a text based simulator. For as old as some of you are, you sure act like gatekeeping, elitist you know what’s.

There have been fun little surprises discovered while playing the game, which I think is what he was saying, like Position Potential.

The meat of it, though, was absolutely all available either before the beta dropped (for almost all of it), or in the post where the beta dropped (the rest).

Also worth noting - again - the game has not in fact released yet. So all of the information you have NOW about the game is, as it turns out, information available before the game is released.

* Shop a Player feature reworked and massively improved
* 7-Day lineups reworked and massively improved
* New framing model + new framing tracking
* Strongly improved game engine
* In-game tutorials
* CBA updates
* Ties

But you're right. Other than all of that and more that I'm sure I am not thinking of, they told us nothing before Tuesday.

Not sure if this was already mentioned, but if you play out games it now shows the play when a catcher blocks a ball in the dirt that might otherwise have been a wild pitch.

Keyword: BARELY .. barely means some. What you listed was 6 things. 5 if you count the “improved in game engine” which they tout every single year. The shop a player feature was also discovered first on a different site other than this one

This was a pre-release of here we go, BARELY any information.

We got most of the meat and potatoes from steam and operation sports. Get a grip

The game will officially be released today.

Three (3) days ago a list was published announcing all new features and changes to the game.

Read the list (look at the house).

If you like it, buy it.

If you dislike it, don't buy it.
