Calling all mod creators past and present!!

I would like us as a team to consolidate our efforts to build a unified template. We need a consolidator, template creators, and owner of the repository. Please respond if you are interested in helping.

No Pepper, Silva and I are working on templates. PM any of us as we are all building templates. What area do you want to work on?

Silva is consolidating, No Pepper is working on pants, and I am working on consolidating game delivered options into a template.

Im in. Not sure what exactly is needed but I can add in things like MLB patch placement, MLB Nike patch placement, specific MLB Nike jersey cuts, anything specifically related to MLB/MiLB uniforms.

I love projects like these! Lets get some good template layers out there and hopefully we can figure out ways to streamline the new jersey/pants creation process.

As far as pants go, I have put a suggestion in to get at least a short pants mesh option. This would give us the ability to layer stirrups and socks which would be key.

Baggy pants for the vintage uniforms would be a nice-to have, but I'm not getting my hopes up for that

Fair warning, I started a template during the beta, but didn't get far and it is a mess. hopefully its a good beginning

While it was mentioned I've started on pants templates, I also started some work on normal mapping zippers and other vintage-style elements for jerseys as well as in-game and out of game (Photoshop) templates.

But yes, if we can organize our efforts, that would be easier on everyone.

Question:

This is the height_map file which should be grey scaled layers for the normal map.

Will there be an additional diffuse map template we can use to create the colored elements?

That is a good question. What do you propose?

It certainly will make sense to have two templates, but they have to be in sync for those layers that will exist in both (like the collar layer where you want the texture of the normal map, but also the ability to have a specific color).

If the layers aren't in the exact same position in both files, then it won't look right when the game places the diffuse file over the normal map file

Tried putting together a basic pants template PSD file. Includes an option for wastebands to replace belts, a la the '70s and '80s. Feel free to use or, better yet, improve.

I'm really curious to see how this works out and how the templates both work as a whole. Does this mean that the previous uniforms will need a full update to work correctly?

Anyways...I don't know what making a template would involve as I've never made one, so I don't know what use I'd be, but, if there's anything that I can contribute, please let me know.

You can start by redoing all the jerseys in your retro thread and have it on my desk by the end of...I'll be kind...next week. Mmmkay, that would be great.
