List the little, otherwise unnoticed feature adds here

Since I made the topic, I'll start!

In the ratings editor, it tells you how to add custom walkup music for players, so now you can add "Werewolves of London" for Raul Ibanez just as the Lord intended!

Also in the ratings editor it does indeed look as though the game updates Movement to reflect a player's ground ball ability. There's a "Raw Movement" score and a "View Movement" score. The latter appears to be the Raw Movement with a modifier based on groundball percentage. For example I'm looking at a guy who's got a 172 (already very high) Movement but he's also a pretty extreme groundball pitcher (61%), so his "View Movement is 192(!). Speaking of, there's another guy in the league who always seems to get screwed over by his low Movement rating even though he induces a lot of grounders and it looks like he got a boost from 45 to 70 in his "View Movement" due to a 65% groundball rating.

It definitely looks like they've made an attempt to get HR/FB rates more in line with reality while still allowing some guys to be homer-prone.

On the Organization Overview page (formerly Transactions), you can now have a box that includes only Rule 5 eligible players.

In Stats&AU, there’s an option to ban shifts. I won’t, but it’s nice to have the option.

With the uniforms, too, it looks like they're using much more of a standard 3D mesh to wrap around players as the new standard. In the short term, the team did a good job to make the old unis still work but they don't always stretch exactly right. The good news is, once Silvam14 and everyone else redo all of them, they're going to look better than ever!

Yeah, not thrilled with having to re-do the entire ***, but ah well. Hopefully someone releases a new Jersey Creator with the OOTP 23 template.


I noticed the setting for "Foreign players become FA on contract end" along with the free agency setting. Does this do what I hope it does and turn foreign players into domestic free agents when they hit free agency, or is it more like foreign players don't get into the arbitration system?

In the editor players that age appropriate can be assigned to international camps rather than just minor league teams.

The hints text that shows when a page is loading (or the game is saving) now periodically tells you when you reached an achievement.

Edit: Actually, I just noticed that for my imported game all of the teams show the exact same catcher in the preview.

Hmm. Maybe exit out of the editor and then go back in? IME it grabs a player at random. I sure haven't seen the "tools of ignorance" on anyone.

Yes, but... the devs had to do some work to translate them from the old mesh to the new mesh and some logos / city names / nicknames don't look very good. And when you play, the uniforms sometimes look patchy during animations, which I think is also an artifact of this. But they're still usable (and the 3D in general looks a couple steps better than 22) and I expect that once the mods do the time-consuming work of converting everything to the new mesh, everything's going to look way, way better.

I think something else might be going on. I can scroll through the list of teams in the upper left and the Outfit Preview doesn't change at all. I'll report it after I finish looking around the new version a little bit.

It was noted here on post 13 but I don't see that the other user has set up a separate report for it. Does it sound like the same issue you are seeing?

I'd say it's the same issue regarding the preview. I also didn't see any option for batting helmets.
