***PURE SPECULATION*** What new features and/or changes will be in OOTP 23?

Unlike some other threads which seem to function more as feature requests and wishlists… I’d like to ask what new features might realistically be part of OOTP 23…which if going by history, should be out in a couple of months.

It’s pretty obvious the development team perpetually works on things such as improved AI and graphics. What do you think the “headline features” might be?

OK. I'll start. Whatever it is it will probably be something I don't care much about like the WPA graph or whatever it is called.
My guess----able to select players-----PANT colors.

• Real Stats will be renamed to be descriptive of what they are
• Floors and ceilings on performance
• Users manual updated and expanded to be useful
• Non matching uniform pants will be removed

I want to see three items. A) please give us an easier way of converting retired Players to Coaches in Historic Seasons, B) In build a Stadium, give us an "Indoor" Stadium as an Option, C) Buy some of the User Created Historic Stadiums and add them to the Game.

I just got done saying this isn't a wishlist, and what do you do, you turn it into a wishlist lol. What features do you realistically think will be included into OOTP 23?

Nobody knows what's realistic except the devs. Personally, I don't care what's realistic. I care about the things I want to see added/changed/improved. I'm sure the vast majority feels the same. That's why this thread turned into another wishlist.

This version will add a non stop Rick Sutcliffe voice over that that begins the minute you activate and install the game. It will talk nonstop even when you aren't playing the game and will overpower all volume and or mute settings.

Yes…and not too mention it has zero realistic chance of being in the next version.

Folks the point of this thread is to speculate on REALISTIC HEADLINE features you could easily see being a part of the next version. Not little pet project wishlists. There are plenty of other threads out there for that sort of thing.

Do they play out games using animation in Perfect Team?

If graphics are important in Perfect Game, then maybe OOTP will benefit from the improvements.

I hope.

I think pants will match the team colors in OOTP23... they seem to be working a lot on animation.

Never played in that mode, pay to win isn't my cup of tea, so I have no idea...

Matching pants and jersey color would be a nice realist addition for sure.

Another realistic prediction is I think there will be additional leagues added. Where those leagues come from is another story though. If they are summer leagues, it might mean there are NOT many additional roster features, weras if there are winter leagues added, it would mean additional roster features. Either way though, I think we might very well see some additional leagues.

I want to see more minor leagues years added but since I highly doubt adding the missing leagues starting in 1882 is a priority I didn't mention it... as you said this thread isn't a request one so I went for the obvious with Perfect Team.

I think that for things that will actually happen… most years there’s like one or two medium to large “gets” that we’ve been clamoring for or didn’t realize we needed until we got them. 3D was definitely one of them, with 3D stadia being a big part of that too. I think news stories *could* get revamped. If I had to think of big things that similar titles have that OOTP does not, probably the player interactions that FM has. Perhaps they don’t do much outside of having impact on morale but I could see having those. Also, along those lines, the “do I push this guy into playing a little more now or put him on the DL” dilemma you get in FM could be added.

I guess, too, now that we have coaches who handle players and do stuff, we could have those coaches… do more stuff, like pitching coaches who teach new pitches (it’d be cool to have a guy who just teaches all who will listen how to throw the splitter a la Roger Craig for example), hitting coaches who modify how hitters hit (a la Walt Hriniak) and so on.

I think the main focus will be on things that I don't know anything about - OOTP GO and challenge stuff. I'm into historical. As far as that goes, I think we will get some additional minor leagues, like early 1900's. I'm also guessing that there will be some improved navigation, though specifically, I don't know what that would be. But OOTP is always tweaking & improving things like that.
