Mets uniform/cap request

Hey everyone.

I have spent the last hour or so digging on here to try to find these, but it does not seem that anyone made these yet..

Would anyone be willing to take a shot at making this 2021 cap/jersey combination with the black jerseys/cap?

Silvam or Reds 1 made these. They are from Silvam's set but he used various jerseys from Reds 1 to my knowledge. It's in the mods forum.

I have never understood why teams' take on color schemes that have nothing to do with their actual colors??? You see it so often...and I am especially surprised how much I now see it in college football?

How is black a part of the mets overall scheme? I mean...I understand why there are alternate jerseys and caps and uniforms (money) but why do teams' stray from their actual color schemes?

Just a guess here, but I think its because black goes with anything and makes the other lighter colors pop.

"Darker is cooler" seemed to be a thing for a bit. I remember the Detroit Lions going through a phase where they introduced black into their color scheme as well as darkening the blue they used. It was their attempt at being taken more seriously.

The Mets did at least have some black in an alternate logo back when they introduced the black jerseys. Also, the Mets blue has even gotten a bit darker since they were formed.

First of all, I am old school when it comes to uniforms, but I know the bottom line is "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

PSUColonel, I agree with you... I much prefer a team staying with its original colors... adding black really create a lot of poor-looking uniforms in my opinion.

The Oregon Ducks wearing solid black jerseys and pants with a little green and yellow trim are atrocious IMO... ditto the Northwestern Wildcats and many other teams that do it.
Not crazy about the Mets' black jerseys.

I don't think the teams do it for beauty and good color contrast... they do it tell sell more jerseys.

My alma mater is the University of New Orleans... colors are Blue and Silver... our club football team in the late 1960s used uniforms that looked just like the Dallas Cowboys.

Recently we had an athletic director at UNO who added red trim to the jerseys... I contacted him and asked when did the school change its colors... he never replied.

Money, and bad taste in the 90s. I suppose it came with the Raiders' popularity fashion-wise when they moved to LA, but a lot of the era expansion teams used black as a main color too.

Now it's nostalgia, at least as to some Mets fans and these things. Anyway, nice job finding them so no one had to re-invent the wheel.
