I've had a similar time with Paxville recently. I waited so long for a 62 Bob Champion, to complete Milwaukee TM1 and get Sam McDowell, that it felt like pulling a perfect! Unlike actual gambling, the longer you go without in PT, the more you are due. I'm sure you've got something very nice around the corner! |

RIP Mr. Ranger
Asylum, Port Ruppert, and Terra Incognita will all wear a shoulder patch during 2042 to honor a truly great New York Ranger legend, Rod Gilbert (1941-2021). He is the team's all time leader in goals and points.

Silver League
...and Silver.
Unfortunately, they've both got a 66/33 split between conferences, so fixtures will no doubt be a bit lopsided. Good to see we've picked up Sonora this week. Last edited by Tinkerman; 08-23-2021 at 08:05 AM. |

Bronze shrinks to smallest group in quite awhile (and missed one team
), while Silver balloons to take over half a league ![]() Stone=4 teams (2 in same league, 2 in 2 different leagues) Iron=9 teams Bronze=4 teams (3 in same league, 1 in different league) Silver=15 teams Gold=9 teams Diamond=4 teams |

Only 3 OL teams in B.215
Sunday Drivers, Sugar Hill Gang, and Baltimore Barons will be watching the OL action from the bleachers this week ![]() Another reminder that the Friends List isn't always friendly...

is 4 teams enough for an OL crown? if so, I'll post the diamond league here in a minute after taking a closer look. not sure how the games play out. all 4 teams made it & placed in different divisions. Let's meet in the final 4 fellas!

Four teams is enough to crown a champion. However, to qualify for the championship you must play 10 OL games. I didn’t count them up yet.
From my quick account it looks like only Annandale and Nowhere play the minimum required 10 games. |

You are certainly welcome to it. It would be a great pleasure to crown on of your teams were that the case. |

"Now, how about that, Mel Allen?"
Those were the words that Red Barber often used when he and Allen were a broadcasting team, when something surprising would happen. I felt the same sense of surprise today when I checked in on the Mundys after I made up a sheet for the silver standings for 2042.
Just thought I'd take stock of the team as its new theme heads into a second week. I made the changeover in a piece meal fashion over the last two Sundays and was checking my cards to make sure I hadn't left anyone out again, as I did last week, when I forgot about Gaylord Perry. Happily, all were present and accounted for. I just hope this Saturday's packs and coffee yield more cards fit for the team. A Willie Mays soon would also help. I quoted Red Barber above because, although last week's packs only yielded Heavy Johnson, they did get me finished on quite a few missions. I was so focused on Giants/Negro Leagues, I didn't take notice of just how far I had gotten. I have 31 historical perfects, enough to field an entire team. How about that? I am only a little surprised that it happened under my radar because, as I get older, I find it easy to overlook the pinging noise. Ah well, if I get frustrated with waiting for Willie, I would seem to have a decent start on a reboot. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 08-23-2021 at 06:28 PM. |

Gold League
The number of fixtures is obviously gonna be a bit uneven, but a quick check shows that all 3 AC teams at least have a few games against NC teams. Knockemstiff's 7 are against Cary and Waffletown, which just might turn out to be crunch games.
I'm predicting 100 wins for Paxville... only joking

Seattle off to Swift Start in OL S288
The Stealheadz top a trio of teams off to a .750 or better break from the gate, Not only is the league chock full of OL teams, it also features alumni Texarkana and Cedar Rapids.

Well, the "good news" and the "bad news":
The good news is that Cary has added three players to its team this season that should help it get to gold playoffs: Please welcome: SS Luke Appling SP Vida Blue and SP Felix Hernandez to the team. The bad news is that they spent half their available cash to do so and now are below 200k PP for the first time in a long time. At any rate, please welcome the new players!

Not surprising at all to see all three of my teams, recently promoted to Silver, in the relegation zone. They are definitely a Bronze-level team. (Crazy to say about teams loaded with diamond- and perfect-level players, isn't it?)

It doesn't matter whether you play using the AH or if you play Pack-Only, for the last 3 season of PT (20, 21, 22) unless you have super-good OL pack luck, Silver and Gold levels will be about the top of the mountain for you. PT19 was the exception because it was FTP for everyone! Back then, 100% of your success was based on packs and AH, as you did not have any option to buy PP with real money. That is why I decided to go to Pack-Only for PT22. I get the same end results as I did in 20, and 21 however, I didn't invest nearly as much time into the game as I am not scanning the AH every 15 minutes, every day! ![]() ![]() Starting out in a brand new season of PT, I already know I am not going to make it to the high levels so I do not put any rush on advancing since for me, my enjoyment from PT comes for "journey" of the limited advancement. If going in, I already know that Gold is my "target level" I am not "all hands on deck", starting out. I am going into it knowing that it will be a "scenic journey" in OL and I am going to enjoy the train ride getting there!
