Loading of the database failed?

I have been playing the game for a few weeks now and have over 6 save files because when I try and load each one of them, I get a pop up that displays the text “Loading of the database failed: It is either corrupt or a save game from an old version” and I cannot open the game file.

I don’t know what to do about this message and it happens with all of my saves. I’ve put hours and hours into this game but if it just keeps doing it I don’t see a reason to play the game anymore with all of my saves just going away after I play them for long enough.

I have not had this issue with OOTP, like, ever but one thing I’ve seen with antivirus software over the past couple years is that it’s gotten a lot more aggressive about quarantining files. Take a look and see what it’s done; I’ve definitely gotten “corrupt save” type issues with other games due to this.

i’m confused, i believe you’re in the wrong area this is for OOTP Go!, I don’t have any antivirus in it lol
