Hank looks good, Griffey looks nothing like him. i use Griffey from an old file along with about 60 others. Your Baines is good, maybe even better than mine.

This looks great! Thanks for all your efforts to make this game even better. I agree The Hammer looks good. Somehow my mental picture was different!

How do coaches load? If i start a modern game Joe Maddon looks like Joe Maddon, others look how they should look with aging. don Cooper as a coach looks nothing like he did as a player. I have yet to make a coach FG for him.

Hi. I've fallen a bit by the wayside (last version I bought was v. 18) and perhaps I'm being a bit thick, but am I to understand that you've generated fictional facegens for all career minor leaguers? How do you then tell those that have had "real" facegens created based on photographs (such as QC Bandits and others were kind enough to do on my requests in other threads) from those which are completely random? I rather prefer having no picture when I don't have an authentic one, so I know where there's still work to be done.
(By work, I basically mean "begging", as I can't create the pictures on my own, as I use a Mac. But still.) Just curious. And if anyone here is interested in creating pictures for the Melvin Barrows and such as yet un-facegenned, please let me know. (If another thread is a preferable venue for such requests, my apologies and please point me in the proper direction. Thanks in advance.) Also, in v. 18, Al Cowens is listed as "Caucasian" and looks very much so. Which is of course incorrect, but that was four iterations ago and may have been corrected. I just thought I'd mention it, though. |

As far as Cowens being listed as Caucasian, I have no idea what's up with the database on that, but there are quite a few players listed with an incorrect race. Did new facegens for Cowens and Barrow: ![]() |

Wow, awesome!
Great news! I look forward to reaping the benefits of having various minor leaguers with pictures. (Barrow in particular is an interesting story in the game I'm playing.)
If there are still un-facegenned players, I'll try to hunt up the pics before I submit the request. Thanks for all your work. |

FC, do you happen to have a facegen for Brewers minor leaguer Hedbert Perez? He's only 18 and was signed as an international amateur so there really arent many, if any, good source pictures for a facegen, but i thought id ask anyways.

Okay, a couple of requests, if I may:
Phil Klimas is the father of recent minor leaguer Matt Klimas, who's in the pack, but Phil isn't. Although he never attained success above AA Tulsa (where he's on their all-time team), the AI thought he, as well as Barrow, deserved a shot at breaking up the 1980 Rangers All-Nickname infield. (Rusty Staub, Bump Wills, Bud Harrelson, Buddy Bell. Or Daniel, Elliott, Derrel, and David, if you're feeling formal.) Which is a bit of a pity, as that's one of the reasons I wanted to play as that Rangers team. (The other being the mix of 1970s NY discards: Staub, Harrelson, and Jon Matlack as ex-Mets; Mickey Rivers, Sparky Lyle and Doc Medich as escapees from the Bronx.) But still. After a bit, I had to say bye to Bud, and as we won the division and Barrow won rookie of the year, I guess the AI called that one. Klimas was less successful, and spent time at AAA, but he's doing well as a reserve as I play in '81. One of the stranger decisions by the AI happened in Milwaukee, where "George Bamberger" shoved pretty much the entire rotation (Caldwell, Sorenson, Travers) in the pen and rebuilt around Moose Haas. It worked, as the Brewers won 96 games, Fred Holdsworth (Fred Holdsworth?) went 17-6, Jim Dorsey (trade from CA) went 15-15, and Larry Montgomery, off a good season at Stockton in '79, went 16-8. In reality, Montgomery gave the Brewers two years' good work at AA, and was cut loose after spending '81 at El Paso. But at least he impressed the AI. |

That's just someone not knowing how to correct it in facegen with the sliders. Here's some I made from old black and white photos and the full-purchase version of facegen...

The hardest part of the 19th c players is the three-quarters turn most of the photos have. I'd kill for a straight on shot of Deacon White's mustache, as the way most shots were taken then results in half a mustache being imported. Anyway, all the above ones are from actual photos of that player.

I also did a bunch of Negro League stars based off of old photos and the artwork of Graig Kreindler (https://twitter.com/graigkreindler). Enjoy!

Larry Montgomery. I had to add an overlay to lose the smile and other odd bits. But in-game this will look like him not smiling crazily for all time...

Thanks!
Thanks, LandsdowneSt.! Much appreciated.
(And yes, Larry Montgomery should stop smiling, as the Brewers AI reversed course for 1981 and brought in familiar names, the success of the anonymous rotation in '80 notwithstanding. With Larry Gura signed from KC [after a 20-win season] and separate deals with the Mets bringing in Craig Swan and Pat Zachry, Larry's having to fight for starting spots, all over again.) Mike Rex spent four seasons as the shortstop at AAA Phoenix, waiting for the Giants to realize there were better options than Johnnie LeMaster, after all But IRL he never got the call, despite some fine numbers. The Giants AI in the game is smarter, though, and saw "Johnnie Disaster" for the trainwreck he was, bringing up Rex to be king of the short field. He may not be registering the .925 OPS he did in the PCL, but even his current .761 is far beyond LeMaster's wildest dreams. Again, thanks in advance. |

Here's Mike Rex. The Mike_Rex.fg file is without the texture overlay and the rex---001mic.fg file is the one with the smoother features with the texture overlay. I think I prefer the textured one but here they both are...
