In the mountains of western (not West) Virginia and a long way from anywhere. Lived in these parts all my life. Picked Detroit as my team knowing nothing about baseball when I was a little boy in 1969 because I thought Tigers sounded tough. Dad laughed and said "Good pick. They won the world series last year." They're still my team these many decades later. Dad was a Red Sox fan whose favorite player was Ted Williams. He had seen him play as they barnstormed their way back north after spring training.

I live in Fort Worth,TX., and I am from Kansas originally. I became a fan in 1960 and at one time or another claimed the Yankees and Red Sox as my team. Moved to Kansas City in 1977 and have been a Royals fan ever since. I started my OOTP journey with OOTP2.

I live in Toronto, actually Scarborough on the East side. Born in Glasgow I came to Canada in 1966 at 11 and fell in love with Baseball that summer listening to KMOX radio broadcast Cardinal games. That led to a subscription to The Sporting News and discovery of box scores to the eternal annoyance of my Mother.

This is one of the places on the planet I feel very drawn to but have never visited. My fixation is probably largely fueled by my love for the music of Glaswegian bands and musicians like The Blue Nile, Aztec Camera, Orange Juice (and the solo work of Edwyn Collins), Belle & Sebastian, Lloyd Cole (with or without the Commotions), the Pastels, Teenage Fanclub, Mark Knopfler, Deacon Blue, and, perhaps to a somewhat lesser extent, Franz Ferdinand, Simple Minds, and the Jesus and Mary Chain. (EDIT: Oops- forgot Camera Obscura and Chvrches. And here I am such a geek that I couldn't resist the urge to add them here.) I figure that any city that produces so many musicians whose music speaks to my soul has to be my kind of town. (Apologies for the geeky musical list. Any mention of Glasgow tends to get me a bit excited.)

Born and raised in Baltimore MD. Now live in Tokyo Japan.
Orioles fan of course. I was born right before or at the tail-end of the dominant Orioles teams of that late 1960s and 1970s era, but was old enough to appreciate the 1983 World Series, which sort of capped-off that dynasty. Also, grew-up with some of the best radio baseball announcers ever to grace the airwaves - the Orioles always seem to have great radio guys. -Cal |

Vancouver, Canada. Blue Jays fan. I started as a Dodgers fan in the mid 80s as my grandparents and I would take trips to Nevada and the Dodgers would be on tv, but I would go on to become a fan of a lot of NL teams including the Cardinals, Giants, Reds, Braves. Back at home the Jays were on tv so I became a fan of them. When Jr. was with the Mariners I became a Mariners fan. Then I lost interest some time in the mid 90s. But after the great Angels-Giants series in '02, I went looking for a new baseball game, found OOTP4, and I've been here ever since!

Born outside NYC in Rockland County. Found Micro League Baseball at an early age due to an older neighbor. Was hooked early on. But the slow speed made it impossible to complete anything
I am a foot surgeon who has lived in Rochester, NY for the last 15 years. Discovered OOTP about 10 years ago or so on whim to see if micro league still existed. Been into it since. Have phased in and out depending on available time, kids activities, and work but thoroughly enjoy the game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
