Using the Baseball Card to Create a Pennant
i managed to make team pennants using the baseball card function. i created four.
1. A Generic Pennant 2. A pennant to celebrate just making the playoffs. 3. A pennant for the league champion; for instance if your team loses the World Series 4. A pennant for the World Series champion or if you don't have sub leagues, the regular season champion. That is an admittedly basic team logo, but the baseball card pulls in your logo so it will look better with of y'all's logos. It also pulls in your team nickname and colors; and the season year. So you don't have to do anything but go to any player on the team you want to make the pennant and go to baseball cards and select the xml file. i'm not an expert with the xml so i was limited to what i could do with the font style and font size. So someone might be able to improve these. Anyway, if anyone is interested in these, i could post the xmls for them. They work for OOTP 21. I also have a set that works with OOTP 19. |

i added a pennant with an alternate logo. To create the pennant just go to any player on the team you want to make the pennant and go to baseball cards click on manage baseball cards and select the appropriate pennant.
The Pennant Alternate uses the CAP LOGO. That can be assigned by going to the Team Colors, Logos and Uniforms screen. In the upper right hand corner you'll see where you can choose a BALLCAP LOGO. Put whatever secondary logo you want here. If you are using custom ballcaps, the BALLCAP logo will not affect them. |

this is a cool idea! I don't use cards for players but I can see myself using these. Safe to assume the colors are pulled in from the team colors? Thanks for sharing!

Yes, [%TEAM_TEXT_COLOR] and [%TEAM_BG_COLOR] are used for the pennant. i left the letters in black because the pennants have a light background and you need a darker color. |

Thanks guys.
![]() A championship ring would be cool... But with the baseball card, i don't know. It's too rigid. Of course, it was designed to create baseball cards. i wonder if some of the more technical members of the community could make a mini app that could design one... |

Added an additional banner to designate division winners. Just added a crown to the bottom of the playoff banner.

These are great. Thanks so much. I’ve created some 2D fields for my fictional league and I’ve added a couple banners in the outfield areas to display past team accomplishments.

i had an idea about this. i gave it a try. One side is for the team; nickname and logo with the year. The other side is for the player, last name, number and symbol of his position. i used the players from Klavier's 1976 cards. Someone a little more skillful could probably improve the image for the rings. And i would like for OOTP to give us a few more options with the font styles and sizes. Anyway, these are (according to the hex codes i found online) platinum, gold and silver rings. Last edited by Dark Horse; 02-14-2021 at 04:28 PM. |

This is really cool, nice job! Actually, it gave me an idea to create backgrounds for MLB teams in my save with retired numbers and playoff/championship banners on them, so when you go to a team's page theyre all right there on the background.
