Fermentation Series: Game 2 - #1 Terrapin Hopsecutioner vs #2WC Palmetto Ghost Rider
Pitching duel ends with barrage of runs If you are a fan of solid pitching this was the game for you, as Palmetto and Terrapin kept each other scoreless through 12 innings. It wasn't until the 13th inning that someone broke through, as Palmetto pushed across 4 runs to take a 4-0 lead. Reliever Josh Cooley took Terrapin down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 13th to give Palmetto a 2-0 lead as they head home for the next three (if necessary). |

Fermentation Series: Game 2 - #1WC Meadowlark Mob Barley vs #3WC Charleville Half Wits
Meadowlark snatches victory from the jaws of defeat Charleville was anticipating another win and a 2-0 lead in the series as they took their razor thin 1-0 lead into the bottom of the 9th. Starter Nelson Vera tossed a masterful 7 innings, giving up just 2 hits and no runs for his effort. Unfortunately for the Half Wits, Meadowlark centerfielder Doug Fontenot stepped up in the bottom of the 9th and cranked a 2-out solo home run to tie up the game and send it to extra innings. The Half Wits picked up a run in the top of the 13th to regain the lead, but in the bottom half of the inning, the Mob Barley pushed across the tying run once again on a double by Josh Zuiker. After intentionally loading the bases with no outs to setup a force at home, James Brown struck out for the first out. While Half Wits fans hoped for a double play ball to get them out of the jam, instead reliever Kelly Titsworth walked Bob Torres for the walk-off-walk as it pushed across the game winning run and tie up the series at 1 game each. |

Fermentation Series: Game 4 - #1WC Meadowlark Mob Barley vs #3WC Charleville Half Wits
Mob Barley's committee pitching stymies Half Wits Using a bullpen committee staff instead of a standard starting pitcher, Meadowlark got more from their pitchers than even management expected. Starter Blake Miller tossed 3.1 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run. Surprisingly, those that followed (Antunez, Flores and Lewis) would only give up two more hits and no runs as Meadowlark would take game 3 by a score of 3-1 to match their 3 games to 1 lead in the series. |
