Finally!!! i have wondered about that i don't see it in the manual of any version!

Is there a way to recalc based only on current and past years? I mean in real life they do not have current rating based in future....that would be potential
Its using the method for calculating a moving average. I think that's the right method.

I did some more experiments. I imported a young Yount to see if perhaps positive development happened only at a young age. No go. ST and a season in CF gave Yount experience at CF but no CF rating and no change in OF skills.

So I thought maybe there was a minimum that had to be cleared so I put 100 in the editor for the three OF categories and 200 experience for CF. Yount got a 30 CF rating but development didn't drive it up from there. I'm going to test that for a full season since I only have 3 months data on that.

i am ok with fun randomness that you might see that....but it happened 20 out of 20 sims
I've seen Carty become a C. Its silly but I figure it helps AI a bit and AI surely can use the help. I wouldn't play him at C if he was on my team.

if you are FAST you likely, but not always, will have greater range
Speed is absolutely correlated with OF range in particular but also IF range to a degree, at least with fictional players. I actually don't do historical that much so I can't really speak to how that works, but I rarely if ever see a Dave Henderson type player who is average to below average speed-wise but is an average or better CF.
