I'd frame that guy for murder.
Then get Tommy jr., who's all of this, and IN-tolerant.

Winning is easy. Give yourself a challenge! You might like it!

I assume this is in response to my earlier post. A fair statement, and thought-provoking. Here's my thinking.
Over time (that is, a substantial amount of simulated game time), I find OOTPB to be sufficiently challenging on the level playing field that I mentioned. (This includes Trading Difficulty on Hard, Trading Preference on Neutral, fair competition for good coaches, and all Market Sizes set to Average. That is, no shenanigans.) So, I can imagine and have experienced in the past the handicap of a new owner who is an interfering penny-pincher. I choose to avoid this narrowly-gauged randomness which will put me behind the eight-ball for perhaps a decade or more. Remember, I will not have a chance at the benefit of having a creampuff for an owner, either. Everything down the middle regarding the owner. That leaves the randomness built into larger aspects of the game. Draft choices, trading results, on-the-field luck. These aspects, being many, I can accept. Hopefully my luck breaks even and my TALENT wins championships. Not how much money my owner gave me to play with or whether he approves of my free agents. That's the way that I play. I fully respect and admire those who would take what comes as to team ownership along with all other facets of this game. I'm not even advocating the way that I play. As usual, I come here to pontificate and substantiate my thoughts to myself.

Oh how I yearn for the days when a team was not owned by a faceless corporate overlord who believed in profit over winning. Now, the sport is a printing press of dollar bills and winning means nothing. Jerry Jones makes money hand over fist and his team has won nothing in 25 years, but he is going to be his own GM. People forget that the Yankees were mediocre in the 1980s and it took a suspension of King George to build a farm system and let Stick Michaels and crew rebuild.
