There is one SP in the last group of 5, but there are also the 6 divisional toppers and 2 overall toppers (one of which is a SP). There is a chance Maddux is one of these cards, but it is not super high imo.

Perfect Maddux is one of the best SP in PT. Depending on how you evaluate SP, he may have been the best SP prior to the arrival of Cy Young. Normally, you should not sell such a player. However, SE Maddux is extremely playable, and you cannot get proper value for him in the AH due to the sheer volume of SE Maddux cards out there. Consequently, holding SE Maddux and selling Perfect Maddux is a perfectly reasonable move to make if you can get top dollar. Plus, prices of all top cards will continue to fall given the influx of new FOTF cards & the upcoming toppers. Should one of those cards be another Perfect Maddux (unlikely, but possible), then the AH price of this card will plummet as previously noted.

I'd keep him, because I'd guess if the PP you could sell him for have a better chance at going up than going down, at least way down...worst case scenario is you're 'stuck' with a perfect Maddux card.

Seeing as how Maddux was a topper in the live missions, I don't see him being a topper in the FOTF, too.

Then again, Eddie Plank keeps showing up like a bad penny, so who knows?

Based on hints provided on videos and discord, we already can be pretty sure what the last five FOTF players will be:

Braves: Hank Aaron (RF)
Cardinals: Stan "The Man" Musial (1B)
Orioles/Browns: Cal Ripkin, Jr. (SS)
Indians: Bob Feller (RHSP)
Mariners: Ken Griffey, Jr. (CF)

The hints that lead to those are:
1. We know the five positions of the remaining players.
2. We also know that there are no "surprises" among the remaining: each of the remaining teams have the predicted highest vote totals as their FOTF. And these are the logical choices for each one.

I would agree with all of the above except for your spelling of Cal Ripken's last name.

Could easily swap Thome and Bob Gibson for Musial and Feller tbf. Musial already has a very presentable 100. Either way, that looks like what I imagine, but you never know with these guys, could easily be a wildcard from 1871 that you've never even heard of!

Holy...

Griffey Jr could be an incredible card! Hoard those Mariner cards now.

I've been thinking we could see Pujols as the 1B for the Cardinals (no perfect card either). Otherwise, I agree with the other picks.

Not sure FOTF Griffey Jr. will be game changing. I cannot imagine he will be better than FOTF Mays, for example. He probably will be equivalent to FOTF Yount in value, maybe a touch more. Could be a 2-card Diamond+ mission.

FOTF Feller (which is likely imo) will probably be similar to SE Gooden (i.e., a nice, if not risky, relief arm).

FOTF Ripken Jr. will be a very nice card.

They can't be because we know the % of guesses and it's impossible that Thome and Gibson both garnered >50% of the vote.

Not to mention they could go with a FOTF Bob Feller with the Indians, though it could go to Jim Thome as well. Yeah, I think Pujols is a pretty solid bet for the Cards, but they have a lot of players that could be tossed out there. I can only imagine what a FOTF Bob Gibson would look like. Kind of hard for anyone to beat out Ripken for Baltimore FOTF and of course The Kid is forever linked to the Mariners.
Warren Spahn, of course.
