ah. You got me. Tried deleting before it was seen . So, yes, the quoted post was SILVER. And not Vlora, but Ring Road. Hartford is correct. And the scores and number of games, too. Yikes. Last edited by revmcgator; 09-01-2020 at 10:58 AM. |

Otonokizaka leaps to the lead in I171 play. The Muse took 6 of 7 from Vlora to jump in front. The two teams meet 11 more times this season. While Asheboro will end up with the requisite 10-game-minimum OL schedule, Sierra Vista will not. The good news for the Scorpions is they have opened the season strong, leading their non-OL division. |

I probably should just suck it up and get 21 now so I can play with the cool kids, but we'll see.

the super old timey roster is a little more doable in v21 (more 19th century cards available).... basically what I've been doing with my Waffletown team.... 16 of the 26 roster spots are currently 19th century players (with an average year for the 26 man roster at 1900).

Hooterville doesn't let its foot off the gas going 4-1 yesterday to increase their lead in the OL standings. In PT play: along with the Haymakers, Jefferson Valley and Norwood are locked into early pennant races in the NC. Over in the AC Blitzkrieg, who stumbled a bit in May is still in position to challenge for the Division and WC. |

 Raccoon Maintains Pole Position

Highland kept it's foot on the accelerator, and leads by a comfortable margin. There are still a couple of teams that have had a less than busy OL schedule. I checked the schedules and I believe the lowest amount was 18, with that being the only slate under 20, so we may have a fairly wide race once all are engaged.

Gold league update: Weston Pointe maintains their lead heading into June. Annandale will get off the schneid this month with 10 OL games on their schedule this month. |

It probably makes no difference, but isn't Iron Maiden also an OL team?

 | You're right, Iron Maiden is with us in Stone .220. The name is long, and I didn't see the -OL at the end in the standings. Unfortunately, they're in the NC this week. The Devils and the Dragones played the first of our two 3-game sets today. We split the first two games, both with ninth inning heroics. In the first match, the Dragones' Edgar Martinez tied the score 3-3 in the top of the ninth with a single off John Smoltz, and F. Matilla won it on a solo shot in the top of the 13th. The Devils got even in game two, with a two-out, walk-off single by Jason Kendall. The Devils took the series, cruising in the rubber game, scoring five in the first two innings off of Kelvim Escobar on the way to a 6-0 win. |

The Haymakers look like they wont be denied in Bronze this week. I can't imagine the only need a couple of wins in their remaining schedule to clinch the crown. Jefferson Valley looked like they had a chance to make a run but were swept by Norwood and dropped 2 of 3 to Hooterville yesterday. In PT play both Blitzkrieg and Jefferson Valley took a step backwards in their respective pennant races. While Hooterville and Norwood continued to thrive. I woke up this morning to the news of the passing of Tom Seaver. As young boy living in NY during his era we all wanted to be #41. Stickball, wiffleball, little league it didnt matter-you always wanted to be Tom Seaver when you pitched (although I was never quite able to get my knee dirty on my delivery like he did). I would say along with Rod Gilbert of the New York Rangers, my first sports idols. RIP Tom Terrific. |

Raccoons Remain on Top in OL D351

Highland continued to hold forth in the crown chase, with Cary marking them carefully. The Raccoons enjoy a substantial, but certainly not insurmountable lead. If you want a touching remembrance of Tom Seaver, search for Ozzie Guillen on youtube. I got interested in MLB for the first time in 1962, with the birth of the Mets. I was only nine, and did not know the raw deal the Mets got in the draft. I died 120 times that season. I remember what a revelation Seaver was in 1967. One of the best.

Gold league update: Weston Pointe holds on to their lead, but Brigadoon, Port Ruppert and Waffletown all sit at .600 or better and within close striking distance. |

Ft. Huachuca has soldiered to the front in OL I169 play. Otonokizaka trails the Buffalo Soldiers, despite dominating Vlora with a 11-3 head-to-head advantage so far. Ten OL games are on the schedule for Ft. Huachuca this month. In non-OL play, Daytona Beach currently sits in relegation. |

I would suggest that since you currently don't have OOTP21, you should hold off until their next sale, which I would expect will be when the MLB playoffs start or when the World Series starts. If you enjoy collecting the "older cards" in PT20, you'll be in heaven in PT21 as there is a ton of them and a ton of missions, too!

 Who's worth 100kPP?

Ring Road management has been stalking the AH, looking for the next big upgrade. It's been rough sailing in Silver for the Rams, who are in the cellar of the AC West Division, despite being one game over .500. Early in the 2042 season, the Rams acquired Eddie Cicotte through a challenge-pack draw. Later in the season, the Rams' front office realized Mr. Cicotte was quite popular in the AH. Despite his potential worth on the open market, Eddie was inserted into the Ring Road lineup, where he performed at an average level. Determined to upgrade the Rams auctioned off Cicotte, fetching an after-tax profit of 85,500PP. Ring Road now wonders..."Who should we get?" |
