The same problem Oldsmobile had. And it wasn't addressed well. We'll know baseball is finished if it starts advertising "this is not your fathers baseball game."

You think you're so smart that you even claim a certain ball player should have never been a major league player because your slide rule tells you so. But guess what? He was. And that bothers you? You can't interact with anybody unless you can shove your numbers up their nose. So please stop your obsession with me and stop trolling me. You're just showing how little of a person you are.
Keep your 65 out of my nose, please. It means nothing to me,

The absolute 100% fact is that the runner on second rule has shortened games in the minors

No, that does not mean that no game goes multiple extra innings, and it doesn't mean that some games can't go more innings under this rule than they would have without the rule.

If that's your belief that's a failure of you to pick up a basic understanding of logic in 65 years.

And, no, I don't remember you from that previous discussion.
I vaguely remember the discussion, but you didn't make enough of an impression. Just another faceless internet account who can't stand that their opinion isn't as important as they think it is

It's not that the numbers mean everything. They don't. It's that your opinion means next to nothing

Well count me on the I don't like the new rule which is strange because I usually like new rules. You know it's not a good rule when none of the international leagues even use it and they'd rather tie(!) then put a man on 2nd in extras.

If they don't like extra innings then just call the games ties. How hard is that?

After all, there's clearly not enough extra pitching capacity in 13 man staffs to handle extra innings even though 10 man staffs did it for decades.

In the interest of no one working overtime, are they going to play fewer innings after a rain delay?

Another historic moment in the life of the new extra-inning rule:

Joey Wendle was due up 3rd for the Rays in the *top* of the 10th last night.

He never batted...

Because of baseball's first 1-2 *top* of any inning.

Meaning they should not have allowed him to score and thus make it a homerun or its official ruling should not have been a homerun?

OMG!

Sorry. This is very existential to me. Well, part “exis” and a little “stential.”
(Now, back to our regularly scheduled Sports Talk thread)

Gonna watch the first one again tonight.
