Warning: Public Beta Patch Coming Today. Not Online Compatible!

Hey all!

We just wanted to post and give you a heads up, that we're hoping to release a public beta patch today, probably in a couple hours if all goes well.

We mention that, because we need to give folks a bit of a warning.

It will NOT be online league compatible whatsoever with previous versions, so if you are in an online league, be very careful, especially if you have the public betas set to auto-download on Steam.

Also of note is that this league increases version numbers, so if you load a game in this version, you CANNOT open it with the previous version.

Finally, if you change between this version and the previous release, you may notice your perfect team leagues fail to open on occasion - that happens if you load a league file in the new version and then switch to the old version shortly thereafter without it downloading a new version from the server. You can simply delete the old league folder and it should work again.

Please note: if you signed up previously for a public beta and are running the Steam version of the game, your copy MAY update automatically to the new version when we release it. If you do not wish to update, please log in to Steam and opt out of the beta. However, do also note that it may have automatically unsubscribed you, so you may need to opt back in if you want to get this new version.

We will obviously include some of those instructions when we release it, but wanted another piece of warning before the update goes live.

The phrasing may be a bit confusing because you say it is "not online league compatible whatsoever". That really is a bit misleading. The issue is that it is not compatible with previous versions for online leagues. Everything in the patch should be usable in online leagues it is just that all GMs and the commish must update to the new patch or if you don't want to apply the patch yet then no one can patch.
