Looking further at time wasters, why should fielders have to make routine defensive plays? Just have the umpire call the batter out, give the pitcher a new ball, and get on with the game.

Ultimately, live players should be replaced by CGI animations, which won't need to check the base runners before pitching, step in and out of the batter's box, change gloves after reaching first base, chase uncatchable foul balls, run on and off the field, etc.

Since millennials are already between 24-39 years old at this point, you are referring to Gen Z, also known as Zoomers

I don't like any rule changes just so the game is shorter in time. It takes the strategy and quality out of the game imo.

I don't like it but have been using it in my Mets 2020 season and it really hasn't made all that much difference, can't say for the AI run teams.

AI bullpen management is precisely why I'm using this rule. I actively play every game for my team, and it's ridiculous the number of times the AI will blow through 5-6 "1 batter each" relievers in the 7th/8th innings against my team. Sure, my loogy lost his job, but keeping the AI in line makes this rule worth it for me.

I didn't like the rule when it first came about, but after managing a few games in OOTP with it, it's not really a big deal at all. Three batters faced goes by before you know it.

Hates the rule period and hates the man on 2nd in extra innings rule too and most of the new nonsense lately have only make me respect the game less and less and it began with Selig nonsense about the all-star game as that could have been handled much better

It's a good rule, and since I play without the designated hitter in the NL, I've noticed that the AI makes better decisions in their relief pitching substitutions.
