Expansion draft contracts still broken

Expansion teams should inherit the contract of players once they are selected, because part of the strategy of drafting and exposing players is leaving big contracts exposed in the hopes that an expansion team will take them off your books.

In OOTP, expansion draftees revert to minor league deals which isn't realistic at all. It's been reported before, but for some reason, it's still an issue.

Yes, there were some bugs with expansion drafts that will be fixed in the upcoming patch.
