Okay, I know its a very small sample size, but hopefully others will share their thoughts as well.
I've only played out 6 games so far (in 2 stadiums), but I haven't seen any boundary issues yet. Also, timings seem better too. Thank you for focusing on this area in this patch! |

Agreed, they seem much improved. I had a game yesterday where the opposing pitcher snagged a comebacker that actually looked super realistic, like he was trying to avoid the ball and protect his face at the same time, and the ball ended up in his glove! I also saw my LF bypass the cutoff man and attempt to throw out a runner at 2B, that was new, and and on another play, my first baseman dived to try to stop a ball hit down the line and just missed it. Really good stuff!

In some ways I spoke too soon. There are still plenty of boundary issues (ball and players going through walls).
Developers, please continue to address these issues. They may only seem cosmetic, but playing in 3D has become an important part of many our game experiences. |

I think OOTP21's animation is much improved over OOTP19 and OOTP20... using the home plate view first for the pitch and then switching to the full game field view for the play results makes it seem like I'm at the ballpark sitting right behind home plate.
I much prefer OOTP21 animation to previous versions. and yes, the animation still has some flaws, but they will be fixed as each patch comes out. Last edited by Eugene Church; 05-19-2020 at 09:55 AM. |

Well said Eugene. I couldn't agree more. I use the same camera setup and love it.
I can't explain how much entertainment and enjoyment I get out of this game. It is a huge stress relief and escape from the real world. I anxiously look forward to every version update, major, minor, or patch. And every update makes the game better. I only want to make sure the developers are aware the flaws in the animation are important and should be addressed. |

Yes, we're continuing to work on them. Animations are my primary focus for the next couple weeks at least

Yeah, even though I'm using all user-created stadia I'm seeing fewer guys phasing through walls on doubles.
I think I *have* seen the return of the Bugs Bunny throw though; it's more subtle than it used to be but occasionally on a diving stop the second basemen or whoever will get up and toss that thing too slowly to get the guy at first. Also, of course, there's still no animations for rundowns but I'm sure y'all already know that.

Agreed. The animations are vastly improved, and I now find myself watching far more games than ever before. SOme days, I'll watch every league game, they are that much fun, (plus, I'm stuck at home for some strange reason, so I have lots of time, lol)

Can't wait to see how the new animations look. The 3D stadiums and animation make it so much more enjoyable. I watch every playoff game in my league from the 7th inning to end, except if it goes to Game 7 where I watch the entire game.
