Training Players

Quick question:

If I 'train' a player that adds a new position, later, if I go to sell the card, does the new position go with the card, or does it reset? I hope I am making sense.

I believe it goes with it. I know stats do.

It goes with the card.

So then, that could affect a card's potential value in the AH I would think?

Theoretically but a. there's no way to view trained players in the Auction House, and b. people have this weird fetish for "virgin" cards that haven't been used before at all. Personally I prefer used cards because once you purchase them you can see at a glance how they play at different levels.

Yes. Thanks for pointing that out. Best to train up for the team's benefit rather than to theoretically make a few extra PP in the AH. Great tip as well, thanks!

We weirdos prefer the term 'mint card fetish' actually. I might be the biggest weirdo in this group as I have zero cards playing on my team that have played for any other. I have serious reservations buying from the AH at all for this reason (aside from picking up mission cards that I don't care if they're used or not because they'll never sniff getting into a game). There is no known cure for this condition, sadly.

As for your suggestion of glancing at previous stats on used cards, that's a useful one. The way I do that is by searching my league and glancing at the cards' previous performance that way. There's usually at least one copy of any card I'm interested in looking at.

It doesn't exactly endear me to my shiny 'new' card when it's record is full of junk stats from previous teams. I've bought a few of them recently and it particularly upsets me when I've paid over L7. I would LOVE to know if a card has been used before I buy it, even if that's just so I can fill it's record with my own junk stats . A distinction between used/unused cards and also trained/untrained seems pretty natural to me. I mean, lots of people would like to know those things, wouldn't they?
