For an FTP....Is it ever worth it to buy say 18 standard packs vs waiting it out for one player? Or a couple players perhaps.

How many packs have you opened? I have had several perfects myself, but I open roughly 120 packs per day...it's my sole reason for playing the game.

That being said, I am on a run of futility for the ages...8 days of 120 per day average and no perfect cards. If my math is correct, the odds suggest I should have gotten 4 to 5 perfects in that time...and nothing. For the first time I am considering going back to my regular OOTP league.

Some days are less of course, but the weekends really drive up the average. I put some actual money in, but mostly living off the King Kelly perfect I pulled early on...sold for over 700K. It's been dwindling lately, but can usually maintain my point stash by pulling decent cards and selling them. I sell anything that has good value. I treat it like catch and release fishing. I look forward to catching that King Kelly again...

Couple days ago I when looking through missions and noticed I had a 2 player mission completed (bc I already had every White Sox player) and was awarded a Gold SE 88 Shoeless Joe Jackson & 2 historic packs. Upon opening the 2 packs I got 2 Gold cards Bernie Williams, CL Brian Fisher &......Perfect 100 Pedro Martinez which I sold for a nice chuck of points. I sold every card from 2 packs including the Shoeless Joe Jackspn which I already had....nice haul for completing a 2 card mission. Now just waiting to see if any new White Sox cards are released bc I'm stuck in Gold league with the Sox team...no respect for past or current players. LOL

I opened between 75 to 100 packs... I do not invest, got them by tournament

It's never worth it to buy packs**. Scratch your pack itch by winning them in tournaments. **Exception: when all possible ways to improve your team cost 2 months worth of points, then maybe buy packs, maybe...

As far as my best pack, let me just say I've received my fair share of perfect cards over all versions of the game since 19, but I've never pulled an historic perfect of any kind, a couple of non-lives is all.
