Yes, you can install the game on 2 systems with the same license.

I think the issue is more about using the same league across two machines. Some have tried using OneDrive, DropBox, etc..., but I don't think that is recommended. I think the best solution is to store your saved game on an external drive/USB drive.

I think if you make a backup of your game, you can restore it to another PC. Obviously this can take a while. Using a USB stick should work - I don’t *think* the game saves any needed data for saves outside of the user folder. You’ll want a large stick though.

I’d love it if OOTP provided an optional cloud hosted service to enable both automated backups and “play from any machine” capabilities. I know many wouldn’t, but I’d pay a monthly subscription for this.

Google drive with sync turned on is all you need. Just sync your entire ootp data folder in case you have logos or uniforms or stadiums etc

If you're using it successfully, than that's great. I would give it a try again. |

Team viewer is the best IMO. Keeps the league file in one spot.

I bought an external hard drive just for this. It's also a good place to have another backup of my leagues. It has saved my bacon more than once.

Switching from desktop to a new laptop
Had to get a new laptop because my wife and I are working from home for the foreseeable future. Since I'm mostly on the new laptop I'm wanting to transfer my Franchise from the desktop to the laptop and I was just wondering the best way to do that. Would you recommend loading it from a backup file? Or is it better to duplicate the lg folder and transfer it to where the saved games folder would be in the new computer?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks |

The in-game backup/restore just makes a copy of the lg folder. Personally, I just skip the middleman and copy the lg folder right from the saved games folder

If you have custom logos or stadiums or anything like that it's easier to grab your entire data folder.
The save or league backup doesn't have those custom mods along for the ride |

Does a USB stick work for this (I don;t see why it wouldn't). Would love to be able to play my saved game on my desktop or laptop.
If the works, is there any downside to using a USB vs your computer drive. Thanks. |

Now if its a usb 3.x stick versus say a 5400 rmp mechanical hard disk then it probably doesn't matter as much. but flash memory is notorious for getting fouled up so you don't want it to be your primary copy of your save. Especially since most recent computers have a good chance of it being an ssd. now using an usb 3.x ssd external drive. that wouldn't have any speed hits. |

Thanks for the overview.
What you explained is what I thought about the speed. Unless I use a good external (portable) drive and not a USB stick I will probably just leave my main save on one computer. |
