I have not been able to load a single game since I bought this game. All the simming works just cant play a single game. I tried every single trouble shoot there is. PC

Game crashes constantly

On a macbook air playing the game through steam. I've unchecked steam overlay, mac is up to date running on Catalina, everything. Game crashes randomly, but usually right after I finish playing a game and attempt to leave. I never get an error message and only sometimes get a Mac crash report. I don't know if it's happening in other saves but this issue started a few days ago and I wasn't having the issue in prior saves.

Game crashes when using quick-join online league

Friend generated codes to join online league. Codes work for other players, but when I try to join the game crashes after 20% loading server. He's tried recreating and emailing the codes, but still crashes at same point. I've uninstalled/reinstalled and have tried on both my laptop and desktop PC;

Running on Windows 10 ( not through steam )

Ran a trace, but not sure if I should post the whole thing in the thread.

Any help/insight would be appreciated.

For 99.99% of the users, they do download it and it works immediately.

But some folks have graphics drivers that haven't been updated for years and are totally out of date. Or Operating Systems that are not up to date.

Others can have corruption on their drivers or programs that interfere with OOTP that need to be bypassed or turned off.

If you have an issue like that, it's going to take some troubleshooting/effort to resolve, there's no way around it.

EDIT: For crashing while playing out 3d games, a user actually found a solution we hadn't run into before, that works for some folks. This is to update your firmware for your video game card. This is something you'd only want to do if you can't make things work using any other methods and it's not something we can offer support for or help with, especially if something goes wrong, but it definitely might help for some folks.

If you can't play out a game, this is almost always either a video card driver or graphics settings conflict issue.

The first things to try would be to update your video card drivers. If that doesn't work, then try experimenting with the settings under settings > 3d and facegen. Especially try lowering the crowd settings as far as they'll go and changing the OpenGL mode.

If you still can't play out games after that, it may indeed be that your graphics card is too old and doesn't have the proper OpenGL level to play out games. In that case a refund is doable, as long as you bought directly from us. If you bought through Steam or Apple, then the refund request would have to go through their support.

Game Freezes and Crashes When I Try to Move to the Next Day

Hi,

I'm in year 5 of a normal franchise. All of a sudden, whenever I try to move to the next day, the game freezes and eventually crashes. I've tried this about 20 times, and have used different combinations of ways to move to the next day. In the 20 attempts, twice it was able to move to the next day after being frozen for around 8 minutes. The game was never slow and never crashed until today.

I'm new to the forum so please let me know what I can provide to help you help me out.

System info:
Dell XPS 15 9570
Microsoft Windows 10
Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8300H CPU @ 2.30GHz, 2304 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

I play the game through the Steam app on my desktop.

Not Getting Challenge Mode Registration Emails

Hello. I just purchsed OOTP 21 through Steam and I'm having trouble registering for Challenge Mode. Yesterday I registered through the game, and never received the email. When I tried to reset my password, the system wouldn't let me. Thinking I may have done something wrong, I registered again today using a different email address, and again I haven't received the email. Help??

I believe, for me, it is a resolution problem. I switched to full screen and played the game. I could only see left field during the whole play. Then I switched back to windowed and changed from user defined to a selection ( don't recall what ) and my game froze. Had to use task manager to exit.

Turned down the crowd detail. Game is much smoother playing. There was a " hitch" in the graphics before that isn't there anymore. Don't know if if it was the problem,yet.. but my gut says it was. Had the same issue with the last version even though this is a brand new computer. I can't tell the difference between audience detail anyway so might as well get rid of it? I still can't play in full screen which bothers me because I would like too.. that is a problem for another day if the game stops freezing. We will see.

Interesting. Mine froze on the Manager screen within the roster. I was promoting some players and it just froze.
