That's nice. I had one in the last week of last season, the pounding, contact inning and crossing the plate, Mickey Rivers scored 6 runs for a total of 9000 in Gold achievements.

Nice achievements!
Annandale played the big boys at the end of last month, with results being as expected (loss, loss, loss...). When I logged in to see the results of the last game I saw this headline and for a second thought Kansas had scored 43 runs against me (I would have believed it too!) - for the record, they "only" won 9-3. |

Rookie league update:
Asheboro takes the lead in the OL standings... and by request, a look at the sportspage headlines in various OL cities: from the Hartford gazette: "Whalers remain undefeated in OL play heading into June!" from the Lumberton logger: "Rockets head into June with the most OL victories! Hartford remains winless." |

Hartford's visit to Wafffletown is less than sweet as their undefeated streak ends (but as the Lumberton news pointed out, their winless streak continues, though that could end in about 10 minutes
)edit: and as predicted... Hartford's winless streak ends the very next game with a 3-2 victory (scored 2 runs in the 9th to clinch the game Last edited by stl jason; 04-15-2020 at 02:35 PM. |

Brigadoon Stung by Sierra Vista, but Still Leads in OL ST165
The Scorpions swept the Highlanders in a three game set to tighten things up in the crown chase. Any team is within striking distance, with last place Vlora just two games back.

On a roll
Whalers roll off a 13-game winning streak, to include a 4-game sweep of the Waffletown Syrups to move to 5-2 in OL play, and a 10-game lead in the division. Currently at 6252 points. Time to go shopping for Catching and Pitching

Yes, Kansas Bombers had a few good pulls from some tourney reward packs (not quite as good as Sisler) but gold Kenny Lofton who sold for 15k, and a few other live diamonds and then I also flipped a few gold relievers for 8k after buying for 2-3k a few days after PT started. It allowed me to finish live collection which gave me a significant boost to this team. Those live collections are really helpful for f2p/OL teams like ours, at least imo.

Seems to me that the dual influences of tournaments and collections are being felt in the Auction House. Having both available from the start of PT21 has made improving your team much more challenging. And the process feels a lot slower.
A popular AH strategy appears to be overpricing any non terrible card that ends with an 8 or 9 because those appeal to the tournament crowd. So you see 78s priced at 3 or 4K. So I guess a good counter strategy would be looking for value in those cards that end in 0, 1, and 2. As for collection mania... any card used in a collection seems to have its price inflated by 2 to 3x, regardless as to the value of the collection reward. I find it amusing when I look at a collection that needs 5 silvers - each offered at 1000 - that awards an 80 that’s worth 3 or 4K. If you look at the AH sales prices you will see few people fall for that, yet it keeps on happening. I get that the sellers are hoping there are eager collectors who aren’t price conscious, but it’s pretty silly to see it happening for most collections. From my analysis there are just a handful of collections that are economically worth completing (especially if you’re starting more or less from scratch). For many it makes a lot more sense to just buy the reward! It also seems to me that many low diamonds are priced really high - maybe I am forgetting what the auction house was like last year, but I see many low 90s priced at 15k plus. Maybe I need to hope for a sale on diamond packs so we can get a good supply of those cards! I have time for all these musings because my teams are busy getting pounded and not generating PP for me to use! |

yeah, I haven't even bothered with collections.... I figure some of those (like the 'lives') will slowly fill in as I rip the occasional pack (very very slowly, but what's the rush...) as far as the AH, trying to be supremely patient and nab the good deals when I can catch em... (every once in awhile, been able to grab a decent gold for near quick-sell prices).... mainly focused on the offense so far (my old timey bunch is actually ranked 2nd in home runs ), hoping that they will generate more points for me.... we'll see how it goes

I figured, in this case, I'd spend a couple hundred. I checked the AH, and the lowest starting bid was 999 with two bids already in. WTF? Guys, the reward is only a freaking pack. Don't get it. Another thing, ain't it fun when the tourneys go cold? A team that generated 12 packs one day goes two without a sniff. Thank goodness, it only takes a minute to pop your team in. |

When you view a PT mission reward card, it has this displayed below it.
Can someone tell me what is means and/or how you read it? ![]() Thanks |

that's the order in which missions will look for cards in your collection to determine if they complete it.... so first it will look if you have the card and it's already been locked (by another mission completion).... after that, you can choose if you want it to first lock cards on your inactive list (#2), then look to your reserve list (#3) and finally to your active roster (#4) to determine if that will be the card that gets locked to your collection for completing the mission
