Cursing?
Is there a guy in my right ear cursing whenever something goes wrong for the home team or am I mis-hearing it? If so which of the sound options do I need to turn down/off.
I am not a prude and I curse myself, but when you are playing multiple back to back games it gets repetitive and kind of annoying, especially since I have the crowd turned down so I can hear my music. |

Someone mentioned it during beta. I don't think anyone verified it. Can you tell which file it is?

It’s the part with the seventh inning stretch. “Take me out to the b*** game”. Yeah right. I know what b***s are, mister!

Just heard it again.
I hit a first inning three run HR off of the Cubs at Wrigley. And as Dejong crossed the plate I swear there is a voice that says G*d D*mn*t EDIT: Just heard it again after I scored 3 more runs. Then the pitcher walked a batter and I heard it again. Last edited by Maddox; 03-21-2020 at 09:30 AM. |

If that is the phrase, then it's not considered cursing at all in Europe.

"Damn" is not a curse word.

Okay, I found the file. It is actually the very first one Ambient _CC.
If the first word is God then many will consider it cursing, especially the more religious they are. Again, I don't really care. My main issue is that I just found it really annoying to hear it multiple times per game, which is probably amplified because I turned down the ambient crowd noise so it stands out more. Yeah, in the US 'damn' on its own is a pretty mild curse. Toss a 'god' in front and it shoots up towards the top of the list. (As mentioned, especially for evangelicals). https://www.indiewire.com/2017/08/sw...es-1201863915/

Isn't he saying "Cotton Candy"? Hence the "CC" in the file name?

Sounds like cotton candy to me. Must be like Jimi Hendrix and the Purple Haze lyrics. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/mishe...rics_n_5568769

Now that you say that I am sure that is what they are saying but I am listening to it with headphones on during game play with crowd sounds turned down and still, after multiple times hearing it, I can't say that it was said "clearly".
Couple that with the timing of it after the visiting team hits a HR or Walked (which is when the sound played my last game) and it is easy to jump to conclusions. I will let it drop here. |

The one I keep hearing is the very faint "out" during plays where there is no out recorded... weird.

The voices I cut from my files are the "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" guy and the "Foul ball girl" that shouts "Yay! Woooo!" when a ball goes foul.
The "Yeah" guy has two male voices. You hear "Yeah! (unintelligible), Yeah! (unintelligible), Yeah! (unintelligible). You hear them about every two or three minutes! Ir-ri-tat-ing! ![]()

If the A word is a curse, even when Shakespeare says it, then the D word is definitely a curse

I heard it, too. I almost fell out of my chair laughing.
It's not offensive. |
