Won't mean anything if we don't have a good day today. Must continue the good form and get this thing over .500.

EDIT: We aren't doing that. 2 games, 2 losses, both by 1 run. 9-17 in 1 run games this season.

Even though Motown went 15-11 last month and even though they are 40-39, and even though they're only in bronze, management felt they needed a boost to the season so they obtained Tim Belcher to help the pitching staff. Manager Charlatan4 was quoted as saying "Belcher's a great fit for the staff, and should help propel the Stars to the playoffs... but no pressure!"

More deals might be in the works, but the crystal ball is a bit cloudy for now.

After examining the Onyx during and after their first Bronze adventure, a few minor changes were made initially. A new LF platoon batter was brought in, along with a SP. An additional OF batter was bought, but they are sitting in the reserves for the moment.

Initial results were disappointing, starting the season off near relegation. An executive decision was made to upgrade the pitching staff again. A SP was bought, along with a RP. Bob Friend being one of the members, coming recommended from the Greenfield Gulls.

Puzzled and aghast at Bob Lemon's 7.15 ERA, with a top 3 ZR & Def Eff team, another SP was purchased midweek. Plans are for Bob to come back up for a stint in the reserves later on in the season, even maybe a starting spot depending on how his teammates perform.

79 Joltin' Joe has been the offensive standout performer this season. Joe's previous 200 AB resulted in -1.4 WAR, so we're still watching closely.

Despite being in competition for the division, 80 B. Robinson is being retrained at SS mid season. Primarily in preparation for future season, plus we're hoping for a bit more offense from the hot corner (79 Rolfe).

The momentum generated from yesterday has not carried over to today. 6-11 so far today, starting to fade from wildcard contention. We don't defend well enough anymore, and we don't pitch well enough to be relevant. Gonna take a few weeks to get the points needed to properly improve. Not good enough.

If you have good contact hitters or high stuff pitchers in your reserve, sub them in for a higher rate of PP generation.

The Aina Haina Parakeets, in D358, and the Kaneohe Mokes, in G332 have garnered more wins than Hawaii has rainbows. Debuting Virginia is hard at the Parakeets heels, but the Mokes would appear to be very difficult to catch. Thanks to omg for the stats. Had practice last night, so I didn't have time to get up the team vs. team stuff.

The Atom Smashers posted a tidy 4-0 sim to add to their big lead in S254.

San Pedro makes some minor moves to sure up the pitching staff bringing Bob Turley and Doc Medich and inserting them into the starting rotation. Dock Ellis moves from the bullpen to the rotation. To make room Gentry and Burleigh Grimes were optioned to the reserve list. Grimes is likely to be recalled and find a spot in the bullpen. In another minor move Paul Lo Duca was brought in to backup Elston Howard-40 pts for an above average defensive catcher and a significant upgrade over Joel Skinner was too hard to pass up. Also frees up the flexibility to play Howard at first base some.

Arkham continues to play well and is building a lead in the standings. They only have 8 OL games left so if they do well in those, they may be impossible to catch.

To all the other teams: it doesn't matter if you have a lot of OL games unless you actually win them!

Did my Challenge mode packs last night and Annandale got a gold pack. The gold card was once again a historical (pretty amazing, eh?). An 84 OVR Harmon Killebrew. Pretty good card, and a guy I use on the Monuments, but not a guy I want to use with Annandale, so I put him on the AH.

Incidentally, the 89 OVR Randy Myers card I got last time has done pretty poorly so far in two half-seasons of play (ERA in the high 4's or low 5's). If I'd have paid 3k for him (his average price) I would have been pretty disappointed.

My switch to a defensive team seems to be working pretty well but it's still early, but the team stats are showing totals from running the first half of the year as a hitting team so I can't draw many conclusions from what I see.

My entire lineup is contact hitters, and the only high stuff pitchers I have are in the bullpen. Only real option is to proceed as we are and just go through the motions for a few weeks. My other teams are doing badly too, so no real incentive to log in.

So, my Bunnies are not doing great, but still are doing decent, with a record of 54-51 in P409. We are 1 1/2 games behind in the wild card race, but anything could happen, right? One thing that won't happen, for sure, is relegation, since we are 19 games ahead for that race.

Heh... never bother with wifi or staying connected while on a cruise... more relaxing to just tune it all out.... sitting in the Orlando airport waiting on the flight home now... got some catching up to do... doesn’t look like my boys have many OL games this season.... hopefully they’re staying competitive with the rest of the gold league

I was looking at the standings this morning-I can see you winning the 2nd wild card it looks like that will be completely up for grabs. Good luck!
