I am not sure it happens as often as we tend to believe it happens.

I was upset when my much better team did not win the Gold league championship
but after careful inspection, my team was outplayed by a strategy that matched my strength.
I was focused on making contact and getting singles while my opponent had nearly 120+ defense at all infield positions and further reduced my strength with his ballpark and pitchers.

Now I am starting to believe that PT20 is actually much better at handling and supporting defensive players & teams and allows lesser teams to win during short series. You won't see them put up 110-130 win seasons but they will slide in using the wild card and sometimes get lucky.

Personally, I would argue that this makes the game a lot better.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but this simply isn't true. What kind of game would boost weaker teams under-the-table for the sake of avoiding boredom? That would be a totally unprofessional game design.

Every time I was fortunate enough to make the playoffs I have lost so there HAS to be something wrong with the code, right?

My last two regular seasons have been amazing, but a total waste of my time with the garbage playoff results.

I went 119-43 last season and 128-34 this season in perfect leagues. I know I got swept last year, but this year is even more of a joke. My team ERA is 2.89 for the season and I was 71-10 at home. First two games of the playoffs at home, I have given up 28 runs! Mariano Rivera gave up 10 runs in 57 innings all season but gives up 6 in 1/3 of an inning in the playoffs? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Sorry, but I call total BS on all of this. In my last 12 regular season games, I gave up 29 runs, then give up 28 runs in two playoff games at home! I lost game three 4-2. Do I expect to win a title every year? I do not, but to get swept out of the opening round of the playoffs in back to back seasons with the teams I have assembled is unrealistic in every way.

I am done. I see no point in the effort put into the regular season, only to see it not matter one bit in the playoffs. It is quite obvious to me that the playoffs are completely random, especially looking at other leagues as well. The game has been deleted from my computer and I will never spend another dime supporting this game or any OOTP product again.
This dude's roster.....6 seasons in perfect, 2 titles

With such obvious weak spots on the roster I would not look for the fault in the game code or the deep engine.

Seriously... this guy expects to win ALL THE TIME, doesn't he. If that's his attitude, good riddance.

One way to make losing a little more tolerable would be to make the playoff game playable live, head to head. That way at least we get to see it unfold.

$$$$$$. That is a lot of money spent to walk away from.

His loaded team is the reason some get discouraged about Perfect team. It would be nice if we can segregate teams in Perfect for a more competitive balance? Maybe I should start another discussion on this matter?

And he's complaining? 2/6 isn't all that bad in Perfect, there's some stiff competition there.

I've only won 1 PL Championship but my preferred strategy is still building more of a balanced/complete team rather than compiling all 100s.

Was so close to tripping you up yesterday! Was great to see that WS go 7 games, your team is indeed well thought out and balanced. My bullpen stoppers just couldn't close it out, it was there to take tho. The pitching was great for both teams throughout the series except for an inning or two here and there.

Have to agree. I enjoy the rosters that find a way to stay all Diamond and still win against the heavy 100 Perfect teams.

If only the AH would help me locate some of those missing Diamond players.
You can see some pop up right after the playoffs but all at outrageous sale prize before they all disappear again after a few hrs and before the new season.

I dont know. Seems like the best cards are clearly 100, 99 and 98. Especially with SP and RP. After that there is a huge drop-off. Only a few diamonds and gold here and there that can be used and they are essentially up the middle defensive focus.

So you're the one who's team clobbered mine in the playoffs.

Actually, I was glad to see you win it all once I realized you'd never won a championship. Congratulations!

Its obvious that he did not spend enough money on his team. How can he have 4 Diamond cards and then expect to win even an Iron championship. The game is clearly broken.
